Finance Manager
Cushman & Wakefield
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information • Work with operations team and client to define scope of accounting services needed as well as content of monthly operating report • Perform final review and approval of monthly and annual operating reports • Monitor and analyze department work and individual workloads in order to ensure appropriate use of resources • Ensure a high level of accuracy and customer service is delivered by team members • Ensure timely reconciliation of all intercompany accounts and balances • Make recommendations for developing and improving accounting processes • Respond to inquiries regarding special financial reporting requests • Manage year-end audit process • Manage all periodic (monthly, quarterly, and annual) closings according to corporate deadlines • Provide direction, leadership, and training to the team on processes and controls • Ensure performance management, coaching, and development of team members through established HR processes
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of accounting experience or any similar combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting or database software packages
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional delegation skills, with the ability to be a hands-on contributor
- Ability to train, mentor, and coach others
- Results oriented with a sense of urgency
- Ability to analyze and problem solve
- Effective and efficient time management and organization skills
- Detail oriented and thorough
- Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
