Role Description We’re currently seeking an IT System Administrator to join our extraordinary team at Transcend. In this role, you will own the reliability, security, and usability of the internal systems that power Transcend’s day-to-day work. You’ll be the primary steward of our corporate IT environment—managing SaaS applications, identity and access, endpoints, and core collaboration tools—while partnering closely with Security and Engineering to maintain a secure, compliant, and streamlined employee experience. As an IC3 Proficient individual contributor, you will apply professional expertise and established company policies and procedures to independently resolve a variety of IT issues and deliver well-scoped projects that keep our people productive and our environment safe. This is a remote, Exempt, Full-Time position based in the United States. The successful candidate must have valid work authorization, as visa sponsorship is not available. Working hours are 9am-5pm Pacific Standard Time. This role reports directly to the Director of Information Systems. What you'll do - Administer and support core IT systems like our Identity Provider, SSO systems, Google Workspace, and device MDM - Manage user lifecycle across systems in collaboration with HR and Security teams - Serve as the primary escalation point for IT requests and incidents - Partner with Security and GRC functions to maintain technical controls for audits like SOC II, ISO 27001, and HIPAA - Create and maintain documentation and runbooks for how to perform common IT tasks - Identify recurring issues and friction points, implementing process or tooling improvements over time to continuously improve our IT systems Qualifications - Minimum level of education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience - 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration, service desk escalation, or a similar corporate IT role in a cloud-first environment - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Requirements - Prior experience at a startup with fewer than 500 employees or other fast-paced environment - Experience evaluating, implementing, and managing SaaS tools at scale, including license management, vendor coordination, and integration with SSO - Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with Security, Engineering, People, and Finance teams to align IT initiatives with broader company goals Compensation Information Our comprehensive compensation packages play a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to bringing data rights to everyone.
