Role Description XTIUM is looking for a self-motivated Senior Accountant to join its team. This individual will report to the Director of Accounting and will work from home remotely. The Senior Accountant will be challenged with various tasks such as: - Handling month-end closing - Bank reconciliations - Revenue recognition - Accounting reconciliations You’ll gain a lot of knowledge while being supported throughout your journey with us. Job Responsibilities - Working knowledge of month end close process - Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations - Perform month end close following established processes and deadlines - Perform monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts, Unbilled and Deferred Revenue - Strong practical knowledge of Profit Margins, COGS analysis - Assist Director of Accounting with all monthly tasks and projects, as needed - Approach all tasks analytically with cogent conceptual understanding of US GAAP and IFRS - Assist with financial audits preparation and testing - Maintain adequate internal controls over financial processes - Complete ad hoc projects as needed Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting - Active CPA license is required - Deadline driven - 5+ years of relevant accounting experience preferably in multi-company environment - Experience with ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts and revenue recognition rules - Relevant accounting experience in technology driven industries, Software, IT, SaaS, Shared Services - Excellent accounting and analytical skills; able to quickly master job duties and take on additional responsibilities with a positive team-player attitude - Experience using Microsoft Excel is a MUST - Workday experience preferred - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Sense of urgency/multi-task in a fast-paced tech environment - Self-starter, MUST be able to learn new accounting systems fast with minimum supervision Requirements - The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000/annually Benefits - Competitive benefits package with Med/Dental/FSA/401(k)/Flexible Paid Time Off Company Description XTIUM is an equal opportunity employer. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting
- Active CPA license is required
- Deadline driven
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience preferably in multi-company environment
