PreSales Solution Engineer, Inventory Planning
Epicor
• Prepare for and conduct value driven software demos throughout the sales cycle. • Act as a subject matter resource in the sales process during engagement with prospects, customers, and channel partners. • Provide business expertise in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, and inventory planning within manufacturing, distribution, and aftermarket parts/MRO verticals. • Interpret complex forecasting and inventory planning problems and create simple solutions that address customer gaps. • Conduct Proof of Concepts with sales prospects using customer data to identify the financial impact our platform will deliver. • Work collaboratively across Epicor’s ERP and other application teams to support cross-disciplinary solutions for customers. • Qualify and respond to RFIs/RFPs. • Travel up to 20% of the time to meet with and demo to prospects, customers, and partners. • Develop internal sales curriculum and demo scripts to support the growth & enablement of Epicor’s solution engineering teams. • Develop and refine demo data sets and associated demo scripts. • Leverage BI and reporting engine to create dashboards and reports to support demonstrations and available out-of-the-box reports.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience of presales within the ERP industry or equivalent operational ERP experience.
- Background of success in supporting both direct and channel sales.
- Experience in the manufacturing, distribution, or finance industry.
- Documented experience of giving customer presentations / demonstrations.
- Experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, ERP/MRP, and/or B2B analytics software.
- Detailed knowledge of supply chain planning concepts, technology, and processes.
- Presales experience selling to and demonstrating software to manufacturing, distribution, and/or aftermarket parts/MRO verticals.
- Strong oral/written communication, presentation & demo skills.
- 3+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
