Job Description

Talent Lead, Technical, AI

Crux

• Lead technical hiring and contribute to hiring across the company (~60% of your time) • Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering and other technical roles, from role definition through closing. • Partner closely with hiring managers and company leadership to define role scopes, candidate profiles, and interview processes that identify exceptional talent. • Build proactive pipelines for high-impact technical roles, including AI/ML, data, and other emerging skill areas. • Support and partner with recruiting colleagues across additional functions as company needs evolve. • Help maintain a high bar for talent while ensuring candidates have a thoughtful and professional experience throughout the process. • Ensure every candidate has a thoughtful, respectful, and well-run experience with our team. • Shape our approach to how we think about hiring for AI skills across the company/roles (~20% of your time) • Bring a point of view on how to evaluate and hire for AI-related capabilities, both within technical teams and increasingly across non-technical roles. • Partner with the People + Talent team and leadership stakeholders to research, identify, and recommend strategies for hiring AI talent across functions. • Contribute to how we define the skills and profiles that will help the company adapt as AI tools become more embedded in day-to-day work. • Help evolve our recruiting systems and practices (≈20% of your time) • Explore and implement tools or workflows that improve sourcing, screening, candidate experience, and recruiting efficiency, leverage AI tooling. • Research and experiment with emerging AI-enabled recruiting tools and help the team evaluate where they meaningfully improve our process. • Show measurable results from experiments and tools you build to increase efficiency and reduce toil for the recruiting team.

Job Requirements

  • Significant and recent in-market experience recruiting for technical roles (5+ years), especially engineering, AI engineering, product, design, and other specialized skill areas.
  • Experience (2+ years) working in-house within a high-growth technology startup environment.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering closely with hiring managers to shape role definitions, candidate profiles, and interview processes — not just executing against existing job descriptions.
  • Ability and willingness to flex into cross-functional hiring when company priorities require it.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and experimentation with the latest AI tools and recruiting technology, particularly how it can improve recruiting workflows or change how teams work, as well as awareness of risks including bias and how we handle sensitive and private information.
  • A thoughtful perspective on how AI may influence the skills companies need and how they hire for new roles, both in technical roles and across organizations.
  • Strong judgment, communication skills, and the ability to partner closely with leaders and hiring managers.
  • A belief that great companies are built by small teams of exceptional people, and a commitment to maintaining a high bar in hiring.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where ambiguity and roles and priorities evolve, with a willingness to manage full-cycle recruiting for your roles.

Benefits

  • Healthcare: We cover 100% of premiums for employees with a variety of plans on Aetna (nationwide) and Kaiser (WA and California) and subsidize 70% for dependents (total as a group), if relevant.
  • Dental & vision: We cover 100% of premiums for employees and 50% for dependents (each), if relevant.
  • Holidays: 10 company holidays per year.
  • Paid time off: 20 days per year.

  • AI Learning Stipend: Up to $5,000 to learn and build AI skills to help you be effective in your role.

We’re hiring a Manager, Internal AI Enablement & Agentic Systems to lead a team of technical Business Systems Analysts who are redefining how HubSpot works through agentic AI. Your team will be the internal experts and owners of enterprise AI tools — responsible for ideation, rapid prototyping, solution design, and hands-on implementation of low-code agents and workflows that materially improve how HubSpotters operate. Your Responsibilities - Lead hands-on discovery to understand business workflows and identify AI leverage points. - Architect and deliver AI-enabled systems that are simple, reliable, and intuitive. - Balance rapid iteration with secure and responsible AI implementations. - Establish frameworks for evaluating AI opportunities and measuring impact. - Build an operating model for how HubSpot uses AI internally—access, governance, usage, integrations, and performance. - Create a high-trust, high-autonomy environment where BSAs can deliver their best work. What You’ll Bring - Experience managing and developing technical BSAs, consulting teams, or hybrid product/operations teams. - Demonstrated ability to design business processes and translate them into technical requirements and working systems. - Hands-on experience building low-code or agentic AI solutions (e.g., GPT actions/agents, n8n, Glean workflows, Zapier/Workato, copilot builders). - Strong understanding of modern LLM ecosystems (GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, etc.). - Proven ability to prototype quickly, validate assumptions, and iterate based on feedback. - Excellent system thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to simplify complexity. - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfort leading through ambiguity. - A passion for turning emerging AI capabilities into high-utility, real-world internal tools. What Success Looks Like - Your team consistently partners with function specific teams to help them develop AI agents and automations that HubSpotters love — and adopt. AI becomes a natural part of daily workflows across People, Legal, Finance, and beyond. - Clear, measurable improvements in speed, quality, and employee experience. - A robust, scalable governance model that enables rapid experimentation without sacrificing safety. - A motivated team known for high trust, high output, and technical excellence.
