Role Description Crux is hiring an IT Lead to own all vendor procurement, contracts, provisioning, and IT strategy, as well as the full employee technology experience across software and hardware. If technology blocks or enables someone's work at Crux, this person owns it, including execution of security policy. • Collaborate closely with Crux’s capital solutions teams to develop deep audience expertise and guide the content strategy for capital providers (e.g., corporate finance teams, financial institutions, private credit funds, tax advisors). • Create compelling content across formats — case studies, newsletters, blog posts, sales one-pagers, infographics, whitepapers, and videos — tailored to an audience of capital providers. • Execute content strategies that boost SEO and AEO performance and drive desired actions across sales and partnerships channels. • Develop sales enablement materials that help commercial teams engage and convert sophisticated finance and investment audiences. • Actively experiment with AI tools across content workflows and contribute to the team’s shared learning about AI utilization. • Help shape a long-term content calendar aligned with business goals while managing shifting priorities. • Collaborate with design teams to produce videos, infographics, and other multimedia assets for distribution across channels. • Ensure consistency with key messaging and brand guidelines across all content types, maintaining Crux’s high standard of quality.
• Scale existing high-performing, enterprise partners: Deepen our connectivity with the largest accounting firms in the US — leading partner meetings on your own, navigating internal BD teams and independence constraints, and building champions across business units and geographies so referral flow doesn’t hinge on any one person. • Drive conversion, in collaboration with Commercial leads: Optimize the partner playbook, working with commercial teams to systematize referral lifecycles with conversion and revenue delivery as key success metrics. • Expand up the mid-market tier: Scale our work with mid-market and regional accounting firms, including shaping new referral and co-sell structures where warranted. • Keep capital front and center: Our partner motions exist to connect capital to clean energy projects — you’ll prioritize the relationships, business units, and referral types that bring tax credit buyers and tax equity investors onto the platform. • Strengthen the operating system: Keep partner records, attribution, and pipeline sharp in HubSpot alongside RevOps, track champion health and referral momentum, and refine playbooks so what works becomes repeatable — we’re an AI-forward team and you’ll have real tools to work with. • Get out in the market: Join partner briefings, conferences, and roadshows (~25% travel) to deepen relationships with in-person connectivity. • Over time, grow your portfolio: As the accounting channel matures under your ownership, we expect ample opportunity to support additional personas that benefit from tax technical expertise, including law firm relationships and emerging tax-adjacent partner personas.

• Support the building, maintenance, and auditing of financial models for tax equity transactions, with exposure to partnership flip and T-flip structures. • Assist in the preparation of investment materials for Investment Committee, including transaction economics, sensitivities, and risk analyses. • Work closely with Senior Managers, Principals, and the Senior Principal on transaction structuring, execution, and deal coordination. • Analyze sponsor financials, project contracts, and diligence materials to help identify risks and value drivers. • Leverage technology and AI-enabled tools to increase accuracy and efficiency in modeling, diligence, and reporting. • Contribute to process improvements and template standardization across the Investments team. • Support limited external interactions with developers, investors, and advisors under guidance from senior team members. • Assist with portfolio management and reporting as needed, including monitoring project performance against underwriting.
Role Description The Senior Manager, Portfolio Management is a core member of Crux's Investments team, reporting to the Portfolio Management Principal. This is a newly created role within a newly established Portfolio Management function designed to build out and lead the firm's portfolio management capabilities for renewable energy tax equity investments. The Senior Manager will support all aspects of investment management post-close, including: - Funding mechanics - Performance monitoring - Ongoing sponsor and investor interactions This position will be instrumental in building portfolio management infrastructure from the ground up, including: - Establishing processes - Workflows - Reporting frameworks that can scale with Crux's growing investment portfolio Candidates should be comfortable working across teams, adopting new tools and AI-enabled workflows, and engaging directly with sponsors, investors, and internal stakeholders when required. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Environmental Studies or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus. - 5+ years of experience in renewable energy finance, asset management, or structured finance, with direct exposure to tax equity and/or preferred equity. - Strong knowledge of partnership flip and preferred equity structures, funding mechanics, and tax compliance. - Experience managing portfolios of complex investments, including amendments, restructurings, and consent processes. - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple complex workstreams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including board-level reporting and sponsor/investor engagement. - Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python, or similar) and comfort working with portfolio management systems, databases, and business intelligence platforms. - Comfort leveraging technology and AI-enabled tools to improve monitoring, reporting, and workflows. - FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and the Series 79 required or willingness to obtain within 90 days under Crux's broker-dealer sponsorship. - Experience with institutional investors (insurance companies, pension funds, family offices) is highly valued. - Prior experience at a bank — particularly in project finance, structured products, or a leveraged finance group — is a strong plus. Requirements - Help design and scale Crux’s portfolio management framework for tax equity and preferred equity investments. - Partner with Principals, Finance, Legal, and external counterparties on portfolio tranching, funding schedules, and post-closing execution. - Monitor portfolio performance against underwriting across financial, tax, and operational metrics; identify and escalate risks and variances. - Execute consent requests, amendments, and restructurings with internal and external stakeholders. - Prepare and support investor, management, and board reporting, ensuring alignment with institutional and contractual requirements. - Support Principal with ongoing sponsor and investor interactions post-closing. Ensure smooth transition from execution to portfolio management. - Build and enhance portfolio monitoring, reporting, and workflow systems using technology and AI-enabled tools. - Contribute to strategic discussions on portfolio optimization, including potential exits and secondary market opportunities. - Ensure compliance with partnership agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal policies in coordination with Legal and Finance. - Support the development of best practices and playbooks for portfolio management activities to ensure consistency and efficiency as the portfolio scales. • Own end-to-end logistics for Crux’s presence at 50+ events annually, including booth design and production, vendor coordination, shipping, and team attendance. • Manage all registrations, speaking submissions, and related deadlines to help maximize visibility and engagement. • Execute pre- and post-event processes for meeting scheduling, lead capture, follow-up, and ROI tracking. • Support the planning and execution of Crux-branded experiences, ranging from intimate executive dinners to large-scale multi-day events. • Coordinate venue sourcing, vendor logistics, and on-site execution in partnership with the Director of Events. • Ensure all experiences align with Crux’s brand voice and high aesthetic standards. • Support collaboration with strategic partners to produce co-hosted events that drive joint value. • Help maintain and improve the event operations playbook. • Track budgets, timelines, vendor contracts, and performance metrics across events.
• Build your own book of business; nurture and grow buyers through the entire customer lifecycle in order to achieve scale of buyer tax credit appetite and reach targeted outcomes. • Generate new buyer leads through conferences, networking, outreach, and other creative methods. • Establish credibility, cultivate, and expand partnerships with key senior leaders at corporate buyers, family offices, accounting and tax firms, and banks. • Educate buyers on the critical role of the Crux platform in tax credit transactions and demonstrate how to utilize Crux to achieve more effective and efficient outcomes. • Serve as a facilitative partner and resource to buyers throughout the transaction lifecycle, including developing custom strategies to best meet buyer’s needs. • Educate buyers on risks and mitigants and proactively address transaction issue. • Build strong relationships with buyers and facilitate buyers gaining access to and utilizing the Crux platform • Problem solve and address key commercial issues effectively and quickly • Understand Crux platform, buyer sales process, transaction flow, pricing, and commercial agreements • Serve as an expert resource to buyers on all aspects of tax credit transactions, as well as leverage internal and external subject matter experts • Operate with autonomy, quickly surface issues, research and propose solutions • Maintain your customer data in product and other internal tools • Inform product development with user insights and subject matter expertise • Discuss complicated topics with clarity and accuracy • Strong collaborative and team orientation; meaningfully contribute to key growth initiatives
