ESSAY SPECIALIST ILUMIN Education is a San Francisco Bay Area based educational consulting firm that provides expert college admissions counseling and meaningful life coaching to high school students. ILUMIN is seeking a fully remote, part-time (hourly) Essay Specialist passionate about guiding high school seniors to craft unique and compelling college essays. Essay Specialists work one-on-one with students of varying skill levels to guide their writing at all stages of the college application process. Key Responsibilities: - Build rapport to create a climate in which assigned students can comfortably share their life stories and write honest, vulnerable essays. - Provide individualized guidance to students on brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and revising personal statements and other college essays. - Meet and correspond with students regularly to facilitate essay development. - Preserve and organize all essay drafts, email communications, and other written materials to maintain transparency and accountability. - Provide quality, timely customer service to students and parents via email, phone, text, and video conferencing. - Contribute to team efforts (e.g. marketing presentations, college essay workshops, internal projects, supporting Education Consultants) as needed. - Attend regular team meetings for professional development, and regular 1:1 meetings with manager to discuss student cases. Minimum Qualifications: - 2 years of experience working with high school and/or college students on writing. - Familiarity with the college admissions process and college essays specifically. - Professional writing and/or editing experience (writing samples may be requested). - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously. - Flexible schedule with evening and weekend availability from September to January. - Must pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in English, creative writing, journalism, communication, or a relevant subject. - Confident, flexible, energetic, and empathetic personality. - Experience leading workshops and presentations for groups of students. Job Location: Hershey PA or Remote   Summary: Serves as Quality & Regulatory Compliance (QRC) representative for Hershey owned facilities and Hershey Salty co-manufacturing/co-packaging facilities.  Under moderate guidance, leads quality programs and complex assignments.  Serves as a resource for multiple facilities with respect to Global Food Safety Standards, food safety regulations, weight control, sanitary design, allergens, cleaning, incident management and other related matters.    Examples include auditing and assessing quality programs, troubleshooting issues of high complexity; interaction with regulatory officials on behalf of Hershey; working on cross functional teams (Marketing, Legal, etc.) on short or long-term assignments with respect to complex QRC situations (i.e. innovation, regulatory changes, quality incidents, etc.).  This position is within the Quality and Regulatory Compliance Department in the Hershey Salty division.  This is a corporate based position.   Major Duties/Responsibilities:  Project, Plant and New Product Support: Acts as QA representative on cross functional project teams, complex assignments and engineering projects including new manufacturing lines.  May coordinate new product efforts from initial test runs to full-scale production to assure integrity of systems.
