Through this mission, we are expanding access to insurance-based care, increasing engagement in treatment, and improving treatment outcomes. We are doing this by combining research-backed clinical care and innovative technology to eliminate the major problems with care today: difficulty finding providers, months of waiting to be seen, arduous onboarding processes, and inconsistent use of evidence-based therapies and outcomes tracking. Our vision is to become the nation’s most trusted provider of pediatric anxiety and OCD care. Team InStride Health: Our Core Values - Give Heart: We lead with heart, treating patients and their families the way we want our loved ones to be treated. - Work Smart: We find smarter ways to solve hard problems and fix the broken mental health system by leveraging technology, diversity of thought, and innovation. - Have Humility: We leave our egos at the door, empowering our team to collaborate, celebrate diversity, and adopt a growth mindset. - Embrace Community: We all belong. We are in this together, and we never worry alone. We believe in each other and recognize that every voice matters. About the Role We are looking for a Product Manager to help lead the evolution of our virtual behavioral health platform, transforming the way we deliver pediatric anxiety and OCD care. In this role, you will be a key mediator between complex clinical, operational, and business needs and scalable digital solutions, ensuring our technology effectively serves patients, their families, and our clinical and operational teams. You will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle, from identifying high-impact tech opportunities to managing seamless releases, all while ensuring our tools measurably improve patient outcomes and clinical efficiency. This is a fully remote position. Responsibilities: - Strategy & Prioritization: Own and prioritize the backlog for your product area, articulating the “why” behind initiatives to ensure the team’s work aligns with roadmap priorities and key business goals. - End-to-End Execution: Manage the full feature lifecycle, making critical trade-off decisions during sprints and developing comprehensive release plans that include internal communications, training materials, and support readiness. - Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with clinical, operations, and business teams to simplify workflows and make collaborative trade-off decisions that balance high-impact value against implementation effort, ensuring all solutions are compliant and secure. - User-Centric Innovation: Identify pain points suited for technology and AI-driven solutions by conducting frequent user interviews and usability tests, with a willingness to pivot based on research and evidence. - Data-Driven Decision Making: Use quantitative and qualitative data to support product recommendations, measure feature success against defined KPIs, and independently analyze usage data to find actionable insights. - Technical & Data Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, data, and IT teams to design robust solutions, ensuring technical trade-offs are understood and that solutions are scalable, technically sound, and support future analytics needs. What You Need to Succeed in the Role - Product Experience: 5+ years of software product management experience using agile methodologies, with a track record of building complex web and mobile applications. - Execution & Delivery: Proven ability to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of features, from initial discovery through to adoption and iteration. - Stakeholder Management: A highly collaborative and empathic approach that ensures internal stakeholders feel informed, included, and empowered by the tools you build. - Research & Validation: Experience conducting user research and usability testing to validate that feature proposals are well-matched to actual user problems. - Technical & Data Fluency: Proficiency in understanding system architecture and collaborating on technical requirements; ability to use BI tools to answer product questions. - Adaptability & Ownership: An entrepreneurial mindset with the comfort to own ambiguous problems, pivot based on new information, and find creative solutions to systemic challenges in a fast-paced environment. - Communication Excellence: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical or business, or clinical needs into clear, actionable documentation and user guides for various audiences. Additional Preferred Qualifications: - Industry Context: Previous experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or a highly regulated environment. - Startup Growth: Experience working within a scaling startup or an early-stage product team. - Advanced Tech: Familiarity with data science workflows or AI-driven product features. - SaaS & Third-Party Integrations: Proven experience evaluating, implementing, and managing integrations with third-party SaaS products (e.g., EHRs, CRM, billing, or engagement tools) to extend product functionality. The expected annual salary for this role is between $114,000-$127,000. Role Description We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own Tailscale's billing and monetization infrastructure. You'll own the systems and experiences that power how Tailscale captures value: - Entitlements and plans - Usage metering - Payments - Invoicing - Enterprise billing This is the commercial backbone of Tailscale: every pricing model, every plan change, every invoice flows through your domain. You'll report directly to our VP Product, Ross Kukulinski, and collaborate with peers across Product, Engineering, Design, Finance, and Go-to-Market. You'll work closely with our Growth PM — they own the journey from signup through activation and conversion; you own the commercial infrastructure that makes those transactions work. This role requires real technical depth. You'll need to understand billing systems architecture well enough to partner with engineering on: - Stripe integration - Usage data ingestion APIs - Entitlement enforcement - Payment processing You'll also think strategically about pricing models, packaging, and how billing infrastructure enables or constrains business growth. You'll need to know Tailscale's product and customers well enough to design billing platform experiences that feel simple and transparent — even as the underlying complexity grows. Your initial focus will be on our core billing stack: - Plan and entitlement management - Payment and plan selection UX - Usage reporting and invoicing experiences Over time, you'll expand into enterprise billing workflows — including Salesforce integration, custom entitlements, and cloud marketplace billing — and help build the scalable metering infrastructure that supports Tailscale's evolution toward usage-based pricing. We believe the billing experience should be as well-designed as the product itself. Usage reports should be clear. Invoices should be trustworthy. Plan selection should be effortless. You'll use data and product taste to build billing experiences worthy of a product our customers love. Qualifications - 4+ years in a product role, with direct experience owning billing, payments, pricing, or monetization systems at a SaaS or technology company - Understanding of billing systems architecture — you can have a meaningful technical conversation about metering, rating, invoicing, payment processing, and subscription lifecycle management - Experience with pricing and packaging strategy — you've shipped pricing changes and understand the cross-functional coordination required across product, finance, sales, and marketing - Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Looker, Snowflake) and comfort using data to drive prioritization and measure outcomes - Strong product taste — you believe billing and checkout experiences deserve the same design rigor as core product features - Ability to explain complex billing and pricing concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Able to move fast, build your own context, and drive decisions without waiting to be directed Requirements - Hands-on experience with Tailscale at work or home - Direct experience with Stripe or similar metered billing platforms (Metronome, Orb, OpenMeter) - Experience building or scaling usage-based or consumption billing models - Experience with cloud marketplace billing (AWS, GCP, Azure) - Background in developer tools, infrastructure, or security-focused SaaS - 0-to-1 product building experience — you've stood up a billing system or pricing model from scratch - Familiarity with PLG/self-serve environments where billing is a core part of the user journey - Experience with Salesforce CPQ or CRM ↔ billing system integrations - Experience using LLMs and coding agents as part of your daily product workflows Benefits - An inclusive, flexible environment where you can be your authentic self. - A competitive total compensation package, including base salary, equity incentive plan, and variable commission (for quota-based roles). - Comprehensive group benefits with no waiting period, including health, vision, dental, and more for you and your family. - Remote first company — most of our teams work fully remotely. - Connect with other Tailscalars IRL through annual company retreats and team off-sites. - Support for your personal and professional development with $1500 USD annually for professional development. - Flexible, paid time off program supporting work-life integration. - Build-your-own home office setup with a company-owned laptop and $1000 USD to customize your workstation. - Generous parental leave program from your first day, with top-ups for up to 26 weeks.
