Role Description This role is responsible for driving new business growth for Public Sector; with a focus on target prospects with 3,000 or greater total eligible subscribers. If you are located in TX, AZ, IL, MN, CA or CO, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. - Territory will include priority markets in the Central and West Regions with a focus on MN, IL, TX, AZ, CO, and CA - Sales VP qualify top prospect utilizing EDGE sales methodology; identifying/creating compelling events that position UHC for success - Individual will be an expert at consultative selling with a demonstrated track-record of leveraging UHG capabilities to solve a prospective client’s issue(s) - Individual will be actively involved in community-based, grassroots, relationship-building with executive level leadership and with those in the community who can influence the RFP outcome - This role is focused on cities, counties, schools and state government RFP opportunities. Effective collaboration and solid external relationship building are critical for success. Qualifications - Sales insurance license maintained by law - 7+ years of experience managing the sales process for a full range of Health Insurance Products - Demonstrated experience in strategic business relationship development - Track record of successful sales experience to the public sector including municipalities, school districts, higher education and labor union customers - Proven solid consultative selling skills; sold healthcare products through direct sales or brokers - Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation - Willingness to travel as needed Preferred Qualification - Experience managing the sales process for a full range of products for Public Sector Requirements *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $130,000 to $240,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance.
