DevOps Engineer

YouNow

Role Description This is a long term remote opportunity. We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to provide vital upgrades and refinement on YouNow’s backend and video cloud infrastructures that broadcasters and their audiences use daily. Because the core of user interactions happen in real time, it is critical that our infrastructure runs smoothly, and as efficiently performance and cost wise as possible. You will be crucial in ensuring our users have an enjoyable experience while using the platform and in facilitating an environment where development, testing, releases and production work can proceed securely, efficiently, and flexibly. Qualifications - English fluency - 5+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer - Experience with networking, properly architecting high availability systems, and security in an AWS context - Expertise in Kubernetes or more specifically EKS and Terraform - Hands on experience with various AWS products and services including Redis, DynamoDB, Redshift (PostgreSQL), Aurora (MySQL), EC2, Elasticache, WAF, DMS, Cloud formation - Familiarity with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines through tools such as ArgoCD and Jenkins - Up to date understanding of best practices regarding system security measures - Experience upgrading existing infrastructure design and components - PHP/Python/Node.js development experience is a huge plus Requirements - Critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities - Clear written and verbal communication - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently - Ownership over own and team’s performance - Proactiveness and initiative - Attention to detail - Give a sh*t Company Description YouNow is a live streaming community of over 52 million registered users.
