Project Estimator-Level II Location: juno beach United States Remote Job#: 3044011 Job Description: Project Estimator-Level 2 - Experienced (6 - 10 Years) Location: Juno Beach, Florida (Remote) Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our project estimating team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing, quantifying, costing, and providing complete capital expenditure (CapEx) models for evaluating various projects. This position provides technical guidance and estimating knowledge while preparing and managing cost estimates, focusing on accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed project cost estimates, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive estimates for new and existing projects. - Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather and analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate estimates. - Perform value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirements. - Develop and maintain estimation tools, databases, and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimating processes. - Conduct market pricing research and remain current with technology and industry evolution to anticipate market conditions. - Establish, build, and implement metrics for cost and construction estimate checks. - Present cost estimates and value engineering options to senior management and project stakeholders. - Track project costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle, updating estimates as necessary. - Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all estimating activities. Required Qualifications Experience: 6 - 10 years of experience in capital cost estimates, independently supporting cost evaluations, and integrating staffing considerations into estimates. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field is required. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment. Preferred Qualifications - Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or Engineering. - Six Sigma Certification (Yellow Belt or higher). - Internship or practical experience in construction management or engineering. - Experience with cost estimation software and tools (e.g., PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar). - Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6. Work Environment - This position is based remotely with occasional travel to project sites for meetings and inspections. - The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
