Role Description Senior Executive Directors (SED) are responsible for partnering closely with community volunteer leaders and direct-report Executive Directors (ED) to build and execute an annual plan of work that addresses the unique needs of the arthritis community in their assigned market(s) including revenue generation, special event fundraising, mission outreach and awareness activities. - Recruit, develop and manage an effective volunteer leadership board and committees to achieve goals from the annual plan - Manage and develop Executive Directors (as assigned), as well as Associate Directors within the market - Serve as Arthritis Foundation lead staff to build empowered communities - Develop annual and long-term planning with volunteers and staff - Directly implement and execute annual plan including planning events, raising funds, soliciting sponsors and coordinating outreach - Recruit the “right” volunteers for key leadership roles - Cultivate, steward and advance relationships with major donors, corporate partners, healthcare providers and other key constituents - Create a culture of philanthropy by building dynamic, impactful Leadership Boards and committees - Manage and develop a high-performing market Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 7 (seven) years of non-profit or related experience directing staff and partnering with volunteers - Distinguished track record of volunteer stewardship and formulation of high-impact partnerships - Proficiency in applying sales and relationship building techniques to a non-profit setting - Ability to relate and leverage the Arthritis Foundation’s mission into effective, sustained relationships and successful projects - Experience managing portfolio of revenue generation activities including direct execution special event fundraising, major gift solicitation, corporate and foundation support Requirements - Awareness, understanding and accountability for financial performance including planning, budgeting and forecasting - Balance and calm amidst complexity, competing demands and expectations - Tactfulness with the ability to anticipate reactions and respond well to challenges - Prompt in decision-making, including managing performance and addressing difficult situations - Able and willing to influence powerful personalities, and professionally and candidly communicate points of view to authority - Models and builds coalitions through collaboration, diversity and teamwork - Ability to translate marketing and branding initiatives at the community level - Skilled communicator, effectively sharing and receiving key messages and content through multiple mediums Essential Job Functions and Time Allocations - Revenue generation, event and program delivery - 60% - Volunteer, Staff and Partnership development and management - 30% - Market Operational Oversight - 10%

About the role The Senior Strategic Business Developer, K-12 Financial Solutions is an experienced sales and business leader with deep expertise in K-12 schools, sales, accounting, and Blackbaud’s Financial Solutions pillar solutions. The right candidate for this role is skilled at cultivating and nurturing relationships with C-level decision-makers in the K-12 market. Additionally, they are comfortable working in a matrixed environment, coordinating stakeholders across the business to lead and drive key sales strategy & enablement initiatives, including leading deal pursuits in an advisory role.
