Role Description This position is responsible for achieving company sales and profitability targets in the assigned sales territory for Westlake Royal Building Products – Roofing Solutions. Develop and maintain consultative relationships with customers and prospects in the following defined segments: - Distributors - Custom home Builders - Roofing Contractors - General Contractors - Multi-Family Builders Thorough understanding of the needs of these segments and key customers. Responsible for expanding market share and developing sales strategies. This position is assigned to the Phoenix region. Products include concrete and clay tile products and Westlake Royal Roofing System Components™. Duties and Responsibilities - Quickly establish strong relationships with all existing customers - Sell Westlake Royal Building Products’ concrete and clay roofing products from and services to achieve targets/quotas in Westlake Roofing defined segments - Work with architects and designers so that the company’s products are specified in the original planning documents - Interpret data obtained from lead generation, industry/market data, research, and other reporting factors - Consistently drive product performance to achieve market share, sales growth, and ASP - Develop and maintain territory plans to achieve company and regional business plan objectives and sales goals - Establish and maintain positive customer relations by regularly meeting and consulting with current and potential customers - Build a strong rapport with key decision makers within customers’ organizations - Participate in local building and roofing associated trade shows - Be well versed in customer business operations and their need for products, intangibles, key personnel, and customers - Provide information concerning marketing opportunities and competitive products and companies to regional and corporate managers - Recommend changes in company products, practices, and marketing activities to capitalize on current competitive situations - Operate territory business within a given expense budgetary limit - Manage customer complaints in accordance with company policy - Coordinate with accounting personnel to keep customer accounts receivable current - Provide technical advice to current and potential customers - Distributing technical literature - Arrange demonstrations and training sessions - On a timely basis, submit all written and electronically transmitted sales reports and forecasts - Participate in prescribed sales, technical, and product training programs and direction - Manage company customer database information so it can effectively assist in matching customer needs with product offerings - Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures - Some overnight travel may be required/or 20% of travel required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree preferred - Bilingual a plus (Spanish) - Direct sales experience preferred; building product sales experience preferred - Excellent negotiating skills - Strong relationship building skills - Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, detail oriented - An enthusiastic, self-starter with good interpersonal skills - Requires the consultative mind-set, solution-oriented method of selling - Working knowledge of MS office suite including Teams and Outlook 365 - Experience with Salesforce, SAP or other deal desk systems - Insurability and valid US state driver’s license is mandatory Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. This position may be occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs. Work Environment Special working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, working outdoors, warehouses that are not climate controlled, continually working in the elements, etc. Job will require the ability to be away from home some evenings and riding in a car for several hours per day. This position will also be responsible for the development and implementation of both classroom and field installation training programs for our products. Product responsibility includes all Stone brands. **Central Region** **Ideal Candidate will sit somewhere in IL/OH/MI/IN/WI** DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following: - Work safely every day and demand safety from those in contact with - Conduct training on Westlake Royal Stone Solutions products and installation guidelines for sales team and consumers - Deliver product knowledge training of Westlake Royal Stone Solutions ancillary products to educate and create demand for those products - Present Power Point training for contractors, builders and industry professionals - Help increase the quality of installation by performing hands on training - Increase the number of qualified installers by working with trade organizations and Trade Training Schools - Develop relationships with contractors and installation companies within the territory. - Participate in preconstruction and jobsite visits for ongoing projects - Assist Area Sales Manager pull through demand for Westlake Royal Stone Solutions with job specific support and training - Provide support to regional sales teams to help grow sales through product knowledge, support and service - Support Warranty Claims Dept through site visit for information gathering. - Continues to lead initiatives around safety, ensuring safety is part of our culture EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS - 5 years of construction experience and/or - 5 years of masonry experience and/or - 3 years installing manufactured stone veneer preferred - Ability to speak Spanish is a plus. - Well versed in all aspects of installation techniques, product knowledge, building codes and product warranties - Time management and problem-solving skills - Highly motivated and results-driven - Excellent communications skills both written and verbal - Demonstrate the ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
