Job Summary This Desktop Engineer works as a member of the IT Corporate Device Support Team to support the company's distributed end user device fleet. Specific functional areas include, but are not limited to: desktop and mobile computing devices, virtual desktop environments, OS customizations and upgrades, image creation and maintenance, security patching, application packaging and distribution and software support. Job Responsibilities - Creates and maintains custom corporate images for a variety of Windows-based end user devices. - Optimizes OS configurations for peak performance under different operating conditions and environments - physical/virtual, on-site/mobile. - Manages hardware standards and works closely with vendors to develop and maintain sustainable device roadmaps for all areas of the company. - Provides operational 3rd level support and troubleshooting. - Develops working knowledge of company-wide systems, equipment, and applications and how they interact to support the business. - Work assignments may include 24x7 coverage. - May require travel to other locations.
