• Design and implement game modifications using our SDK framework • Analyze game mechanics and systems to identify modification opportunities • Create hooks into game functions • Modify game object properties and game state • Develop solutions for desired gaming features (e.g., resource modification, character manipulation) • Investigate, troubleshoot, and fix bugs in existing and in-development modifications • Test and validate modifications across different game versions • Document modification techniques and implementation patterns

• Own the tooling for Maps & Testing • Scope, design, ship, and stabilize the internal tools and services the Maps & Testing teams depend on. • Build and maintain features in Laravel Nova and related backend surfaces. • Make the architectural calls, data model evolution, caching boundaries, where to spend latency budget. • Work fluidly across the data layer. • Treat performance, observability, and operational health as part of "done." • Work on AI-driven features and pipelines. • Move across the stack when the work demands it. • Take ownership of what you work on, what you cut, and what you sequence. • Provide substantive code review and raise the level of design discussions when needed.

• Own and defend complex, multi-time-zone calendars for several executives • Resolve scheduling conflicts proactively and protect focus time • Keep a clear view of priorities so the right things get the right hours • Schedule and prep cross-functional meetings, agendas, docs, and follow-ups • Run recurring operating cadences: planning weeks, leadership syncs, and offsites • Triage inboxes, flag what matters, and draft clear correspondence on behalf of the team • Act as a calm, reliable point of contact across the company • Coordinate domestic and international travel and itineraries • Keep expense reports accurate and on time • Carry the occasional special project end to end • Serve as a trusted, discreet partner with access to confidential information

• Build Wand's Creative Engine • Own the ideas that shape how millions of players discover and experience Wand. • Be the driving force behind our paid creative strategy across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms. • Define the stories we tell, the emotions we tap into, and the angles we test. • Build and evolve the creative systems that help us consistently produce winning ads. • Turn creative production into a repeatable growth engine rather than a series of one-off campaigns. • Shape How Gamers See Wand • Develop the positioning, messaging, and creative angles that make players feel understood rather than marketed to. • Find the moments, frustrations, goals, and inside jokes that resonate with real gamers. • Translate gameplay experiences into concepts that stop thumbs and drive action. • Help define Wand's voice as we continue scaling globally. • Build a Culture of Experimentation • Champion bold ideas and test them quickly. • Create frameworks for turning creative learnings into future wins. • Continuously uncover new opportunities, patterns, and insights from performance data. • Push beyond templates and recycled formats to create original work that feels native to gaming culture. • Lead Creative Production • Direct freelancers, editors, designers, creators, and agency partners. • Build sharp briefs that inspire great work. • Give clear, actionable feedback that improves output without slowing teams down. • Ensure every creative shipped reflects both player understanding and performance intent.

• You'll own the metrics that run the business. • You'll own the dashboards and definitions Product, Growth, Marketing, and Finance rely on every day. • You'll build in Hex, document in our spec, and enforce consistent definitions across teams. • When retention dips or a funnel leaks, you won't stop at the symptom. • You'll follow the thread — through cohorts, segments, the quirks of specific games — until you can name the cause and recommend a fix. • You'll design and analyze A/B tests on product changes, pricing, onboarding, and growth initiatives. • You'll set sample sizes, call stat sig, and write the readouts. • You'll work directly with our leaders on the questions that don't have obvious answers. • You'll frame the question, run the analysis, and deliver the recommendation.

• Extract data from game files. • Work with game archives, asset containers, and serialized data. • Convert proprietary formats into structured, open formats. • Get familiar with each new game’s data layout quickly. • Write scripts and small tools (Python, C#, whatever fits) that automate the repetitive parts of extraction. • Lean on AI coding tools heavily.

• Own meaningful parts of the backend • Scope, design, ship, and stabilize the services the rest of the product depends on. Own the fix when something misbehaves at 2am. • Make the architectural calls — data model evolution, caching boundaries, where to spend latency budget, when to refactor and when to rewrite. • Work fluidly across the data layer. Relational stores at scale (MySQL, MariaDB) and document stores (Firestore) are both in the toolkit, and you know which to reach for and when. • Treat infrastructure as code as part of the job. Terraform and Ansible aren’t someone else’s problem; a service isn’t shipped until it can be re-deployed without you in the room. • Treat performance, observability, and operational health as part of “done.” Dashboards and alerts ship with the feature. • Move across the stack when the work demands it • Open TypeScript PRs in the Electron app when a feature is better wired end-to-end than handed off. You’re comfortable on both sides of the boundary. • Have opinions on UX workflows and product surfaces, not just API shapes. The best backend engineers we’ve worked with care how the thing feels. • Get into the Electron app, the overlay, or the web surface when that’s where the bug actually is. • Drive the backend roadmap • Take ownership of what we work on, what we cut, and what we sequence. The Head of Engineering will partner closely early on; the bar is that this person eventually drives the roadmap on their own. • Push cross-cutting initiatives nobody else will — observability gaps, data model debt, perf regressions, API hygiene. The work that quietly compounds. • Provide substantive code review, mentor where it lands naturally, and raise the level of design discussions when the design needs it, not just the implementation. • Bring thoughtfulness and genuine passion for the work. Contribute to roadmap decisions with an eye on outcomes.

• Build and own native infrastructure. • Own substantial parts of Wand’s Windows native stack and move fluidly across the breadth of it. • Make the architectural calls that compound. • Design SDK and plugin surfaces that other people actually want to build against. • Treat the application teams as your customers. • Write the docs, examples, and small tools that turn “ask the native team” into “look it up.” • Provide substantive and thoughtful code reviews. • Mentor mid-level engineers through the parts of Windows that aren’t on Stack Overflow. • Contribute to roadmap decisions with an eye on outcomes.

• Automate access control end-to-end. • Own our identity layer. • Build onboarding and offboarding runbooks. • Partner with People Ops on the employee lifecycle. • Own hardware provisioning. • Manage hardware inventory. • Stand up an MDM program. • Migrate the team to properly provisioned devices. • Define and implement cloud networking best practices. • Manage cloud IAM and org structure. • Partner with engineering on the boundary. • Own internal SaaS and collaboration tools. • Be the internal help desk — then automate yourself out of it. • Own the tooling budget.

• Champion the Core Product (70%) Immerse yourself in our native desktop UI, onboarding flows, and Pro/paywall experiences. You will take total ownership of translating complex product strategies into seamless, pixel-perfect player journeys that respect the technical and performance constraints of running alongside heavy PC games. "Taking ownership" starts before Figma. It means pulling data from Amplitude and our dashboards, talking directly to players, collaborating with PMs (or doing the digging yourself), and forming a strong, informed opinion about the problem before you touch a design tool. • Drive Web & Growth (30%) Take ownership of our web presence and marketing pipelines, treating our site as a tier-one product experience that drives user acquisition and brand love. • Think with AI, Build with the Right Tool Your workflow starts in an LLM. Use it to deeply understand the problem space - interrogate metrics, surface edge cases, draft problem frames, stress-test assumptions. Come to the table with a formed perspective, not a blank canvas. When you need to validate, choose the medium that fits the question. If a scrappy, end-to-end interactive prototype answers it fastest, build it in Claude Code or Cursor. If the situation calls for high-fidelity visual craft and full state coverage, that's Figma. The judgment of when to use which is yours - and it matters. • Apply & Evolve the Ecosystem You will design features that span our multi-surface ecosystem (Desktop, Web, Overlay). Working closely with the Lead Product Designer, you will apply, stress-test, and help evolve our core design language to ensure every new feature feels natively integrated into the broader Wand platform. • Shape the Scope - Don't Wait for It Don't wait for a perfectly written spec. Actively partner with cross-functional teams to define feature scopes, comfortably push back on ambiguity, and serve as a fierce advocate for the player's experience. If you see a problem forming on the horizon, you're already working on it.
