Account Sales Representative - Industrial Cameras

Role Description In your position as an Account Sales Representative, you will be responsible for proactively expanding our client’s industrial camera business with existing customers, along with growing and cultivating new customer relationships, in applications including: - Industrial machine vision - Factory automation - Life science & medical - Web inspection - Food & beverage - Aerospace You will have complete responsibility to develop the territory, achieve the sales budget and monitor all aspects of the sales cycle. The position will require working from home and travelling within your sales territory to visit customers. You will report directly to the Sales Director, also located from a remote home office. Tasks include: - Searching for new customers who benefit from industrial vision solutions and maximizing customer potential in designated regions based on detailed value proposition and target market information provided by marketing in close cooperation with the sales team and the Sales Director. - Visiting potential and existing customers. - Working with product management and support teams for assistance and product education, and after-sales support services to customers, partners, and the sales team. - Developing long-term relationships with customers and partners through managing and interpreting their requirements and expectations. - Listening to customer concerns and describing why our client’s cameras best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery. - Negotiating contract terms and conditions to meet both customer and company needs. - Calculating customer quotations and administering customer accounts. - Preparing weekly update reports for Sales Director. - Meeting and exceeding sales targets and coordinating sales projects. - Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events. - Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets customer’s needs. - Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts. - Following and reporting about industry trends. - Providing input to the specification of new products developments. - Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team and other duties as maybe reasonably requested by your manager from time to time. Qualifications - True passion for delivering results through others and own sales activities. - Proven ability in managing complex sales cycles from start to finish. - Technical background to understand potential applications. - Understanding of basic image processing and machine vision. - Great presentation abilities one-on-one as well as in groups. - Excellent oral and written communication in English. - Degree in engineering or similar but skills and experience carry more weight. - Proficient in Microsoft Office tools. - Proven as a proactive self-starter with a high drive. - Resourceful and capable of learning fast and independently. - Structured and systematic approach, planning and tracking customer activities using CRM tools. - Ability to develop and maintain strong long-term relationships. - Good blend of empathy and assertiveness. - Convincing and influential argumentation. - Embracing challenges. - High integrity and loyalty. - Good team player. - Ready to travel for customer visits, trade shows and meetings, primarily in USA. - Open mindset. Role Description Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Applications Engineer specializing in vision systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in CMOS image sensors, FPGAs, and imaging SoCs, coupled with excellent problem-solving and customer-facing skills. This remote position will be based in North America, supporting customers and sales team with technical expertise and solutions. - Technical Support: - Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers, addressing inquiries related to vision systems, CMOS image sensors, FPGAs, and imaging SoCs. - Assist customers with system integration, troubleshooting, and optimization of imaging solutions. - Conduct on-site and remote technical training sessions for customers and partners. - Application Development: - Collaborate with customers to understand their application requirements and develop tailored solutions. - Assist in the design, development, and testing of custom applications and solutions. - Provide technical guidance and support during the evaluation and implementation phases. - Product Expertise: - Maintain in-depth knowledge of our product portfolio, including technical specifications, features, and benefits. - Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products. - Act as a technical liaison between customers, sales teams, and solution development teams. - Customer Engagement: - Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. - Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure successful implementation and address any ongoing technical issues. - Gather customer feedback and insights to inform solution development and improvement. - Sales Support: - Assist the sales team in identifying and qualifying new opportunities, providing technical expertise during the sales process. - Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to showcase our products and solutions. - Develop and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers.
