• Rapid Prototyping & Innovation: Act as a specialized engineer who identifies interesting product opportunities. • Strategic Technical Leadership: Take ownership of responsibilities beyond coding, including managing complex technical projects. • Direct Collaboration with Leadership: Work directly with the CTO to solve high-level problems. • System Mastery & Evolution: Develop a deep understanding of our existing system. • Customer & External Engagement: Engage with users to understand their deep technical needs.
• Complex Opportunity Leadership: Own the technical strategy for large-scale enterprise engagements. You will partner with Account Executives to navigate highly regulated industries, developing tailored narratives that solve deep-seated compliance, security, and operational concerns. • Business Value Engineering: Move beyond features to build formal Business Value Assessments (BVAs). You will connect vCluster’s unique capabilities to quantifiable outcomes—linking infrastructure consolidation to actual cost savings, risk reduction, and developer velocity. • AI Literacy & Augmentation: Naturally integrate AI-native workflows to automate discovery documentation, brainstorm complex multi-tenant architecture diagrams, and accelerate GTM delivery. You will use LLMs to analyze customer requirements and extract high-value technical insights while maintaining a "human-in-the-loop" approach to ensure architectural accuracy. • Mentorship & Process Contribution: Act as a force multiplier for the SE organization. You will coach Associate and Intermediate SEs, identify gaps in our qualification frameworks (e.g., MEDDPICC), and design the PoV templates that scale our effectiveness. • The Voice of the Customer: Represent field observations directly to Product and Engineering. You will influence the product roadmap by translating enterprise customer pain into high-fidelity technical requirements.
• Targeted Account Campaign Ownership: Build and execute multi-touch campaigns aimed at specific platform engineering and infrastructure personas at enterprise accounts and AI Cloud providers, not broad awareness plays, but precise programs designed to get the right people into pipeline. You decide the channel mix, you build the programs, and you own the results. • Channel Management: Own paid social (LinkedIn), paid search, content syndication, and digital programs day-to-day. You manage budget allocation across channels, cut what isn't working, and make the case for what should get more spend. • Livestream & Digital Program Execution: Build and run the livestream and webinar motion — not just contribute to it. You own the campaign wrapper, the platform, the promotion, and the follow-through that turns registrants into pipeline. • Sales Collaboration: Work directly with sales to align on target accounts, ICP definition, and what pipeline looks like at each stage. Sales is your customer — you close the gap between a campaign touch and a qualified conversation. • PMM & DevRel Partnership: Pull content and thematic direction from PMM and DevRel to fuel your programs. Advocate for what your campaigns need — blogs, white papers, videos and make sure what gets produced lands in a channel where it does pipeline work. • Pipeline Reporting: Own the metrics that matter: pipeline influence, new opportunities sourced, channel efficiency, and budget performance. You build the reporting infrastructure and you present the numbers in terms the CEO and sales leader care about.
• Kubernetes Deep-Dive: Work intimately with Kubernetes internals to push the boundaries of container orchestration. • Go Development: Write high-performance, resilient Go code to power the core logic of the vCluster platform. • End-to-End Ownership: Take full ownership of your work. You are self-driven and capable of managing feature development from technical design to release without needing constant oversight. • Open Source Innovation: Engage with the community and contribute to our open-source projects. You will help define the next generation of tenancy models, creating scalable solutions for isolation and resource sharing beyond simple namespaces. • Technical Problem Solving: Tackle hard engineering challenges where the solution isn't always on ChatGPT, requiring a deep understanding of systems architecture.
• Owning the vNode technical execution: Drive the architecture for how vNode wraps containerd, integrates with the kubelet, and exposes safe isolation primitives. You will set the bar for what ships, what gets deferred, and what gets redesigned. • Going deep on container runtimes and isolation: Lead the work where vNode meets containerd, Kata Containers, gVisor, runc, and the kernel. You will be the person who can explain (and improve) exactly what happens between a Pod spec and a process running under a constrained user namespace with a tight seccomp profile. • Shipping the kubelet integration surface: Own how vNode plugs into the node lifecycle: CRI, kubelet device plugins, cgroups v2, eviction, and the rough edges between Kubernetes' node model and a runtime that does not assume one tenant per node. • Raising the engineering bar: Run technical design reviews, set the pattern for testing isolation guarantees, and mentor the engineers shipping alongside you. You are not a people manager, but you are the engineer the team copies. • Being Customer Zero for vNode: Run vNode against vCluster Platform tenant clusters internally before customers see it. You will close the loop between what AI Cloud operators need and what vNode actually does in production. • Representing vNode externally: Contribute upstream where it matters (containerd, runc, Kubernetes SIG-Node), write the technical posts that explain why namespace-based isolation is the right answer, and represent vCluster Labs at KubeCon-class venues when the timing is right.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks spanning backend services and UI. • Own and drive test strategy across services and features. • Work closely with engineering and product to shape features early and align the team on testability. • Sit in on architecture and design discussions, bringing a testability and reliability lens. • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide feedback on changes. • Run exploratory testing to catch usability issues, edge cases, and regressions. • Move across multiple projects in a startup environment where priorities shift.
• Building the enablement function from zero: You will design, launch, and own vCluster Labs' first enablement program: the learning paths, certifications, onboarding cohorts, and ongoing skill development for the entire go-to-market team. There is no playbook to inherit; you write it. • Deep technical enablement for customer engineering: You will own enablement for all customer engineering field roles: Customer Success Engineers, Solutions Engineers, Technical Account Managers, and AI Infrastructure Engineers. You won't build the technical content alone; you will extract it from engineering, product, and the field, then turn it into structured, repeatable programs. • Field and sales enablement: You will programatize enablement for sellers and SDRs targeting platform engineers, DevOps teams, and infrastructure buyers: product narrative, competitive positioning, and the technical fluency to hold the room with a technical audience. • Cross-functional content partnership: You will work with product and marketing to source, shape, and maintain enablement content, acting as an authoritative partner who brings ideas, not a coordinator who takes direction. • New-hire ramp: You will own structured onboarding cohorts for incoming field hires, compressing time-to-productivity for a team that is growing fast across the US, EMEA, and APAC. • Measuring what matters: You will define how enablement impact is measured (ramp time, certification completion, field confidence, win-rate influence) and ruthlessly prioritize programs that move those numbers.
• Onboarding Ownership: Lead end-to-end customer onboardings — from the sales handoff through to project close. You coordinate architecture workshops, platform installation, access setup, integration configuration, and operational readiness reviews. You set the tone for how customers experience vCluster from day one. • Success Planning: Build and maintain customer success plans that document business objectives, KPIs, adoption milestones, and a forward plan. You treat the success plan as a living document that drives every customer conversation, not a one-time deliverable that sits in a folder. • Value Articulation: Translate platform adoption into business outcomes. You connect Tenant Cluster growth, provisioning time savings, and developer self-service enablement to the metrics your customers care about — cost efficiency, engineering velocity, risk reduction, and platform ROI. When it's time to renew or expand, the business case is already built. • Proactive Engagement: Own the customer relationship cadence — regular check-ins, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Executive Business Reviews. You do not wait for the customer and you run executive reviews that reinforce strategic partnership, not just feature updates. • Technical Credibility: Hold credible technical conversations with platform engineers, DevOps leads, and architects. You understand the vCluster architecture well enough to discuss Tenant Cluster deployment patterns, RBAC, Tenant Isolation, integrations, and Day 2 operations. You can independently assist the customer with their technical challenges and design optimal deployment architectures. • Renewal and Expansion: Own the renewal motion for your accounts — starting 90+ days out. You recognise expansion triggers — new use cases, AI/GPU workloads, additional Tenant Clusters, tier upgrades — and you work with the Account Executive and Solutions Engineer to convert them into growth that solves real customer problems. • Customer Advocacy: Serve as the internal voice of your customers. You represent their feature requests, escalate blockers, and provide actionable feedback to Product and Engineering grounded in real account context — not anecdote.
• Financial Strategy & Leadership: Build and lead vCluster Labs' finance and accounting function, owning the company's financial operating system end to end. You will set the financial strategy that underpins our path to sustainable, capital-efficient growth. • Hands-On FP&A and Modeling: Own FP&A directly, not through a team. You will build and maintain the forecasts, financial models, and planning process yourself, ensuring clear success criteria and rigorous, defensible numbers. • Accounting & Compliance Oversight: Own the accuracy of our financial reporting, guiding the company through audits, tax compliance, and month-end close. You may bring on one additional hire to support the accounting function, but the financial narrative and controls stay under your direct ownership. • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Serve as the CEO's key partner during fundraising, leading diligence prep and the financial narrative that gets deals done. You will build the relationships and materials that carry us through future rounds. • Executive & Board Partnership: Act as the primary financial escalation point for the executive team and engage directly with the Board of Directors, translating financial constraints into a plan the business can execute against. • Cross-Functional Influence: Serve as the financial voice inside Product and Sales conversations, using unit economics and efficiency metrics to shape the roadmap and go to market decisions.
• Content Calendar Ownership: Plan, write, and publish weekly posts on LinkedIn and X. Stay two weeks ahead at all times. No gaps, no scramble. • Executive Thought Leadership Extraction: Turn the deep architectural insights of our leadership team into high-impact published content and thought leadership. • Community Management: Respond thoughtfully to comments, DMs, and mentions on both platforms. Engage with practitioners, contributors, and platform engineering leaders—adding real value to the infrastructure conversation, not just reacting. • Reactive Distribution: When something happens in the cloud-native and AI infra world—a major CNCF release, an architectural debate, a KubeCon announcement—you move fast to capture attention while the narrative has a short half-life. • Live Event Coverage: Cover priority global events (such as KubeCon and key AI Infra summits) in real time—delivering live threads on X, daily LinkedIn updates, and post-event structural recaps. • Editorial Quality Bar: Act as the standard-bearer for what goes out under our brand name. You will be expected to ruthlessly protect our brand voice, push back on subpar content, and actively propose higher-impact alternatives.
