Company Overview The Fundworks, LLC is a provider of alternative financing to small businesses and merchants, focusing on both healthy and challenged companies. We ourselves are a team of entrepreneurs who have spent our careers growing small entrepreneur and family-owned companies. We are looking for the right individual to join our team, who is ready to learn and use their skills and experience to add value to our ever-growing company. About the Role The Fundworks is rapidly integrating AI into everything we do. We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on AI Product Manager to lead the identification, prioritization, and implementation of AI solutions that drive real productivity gains and smarter business decisions. This is a high-ownership role that blends product management thinking with practical AI execution. You’ll work directly with leadership and departments to shape our AI strategy, translate business needs into prioritized initiatives, prototype and deploy solutions, and ensure measurable impact—especially in risk assessments, underwriting processes, and risk-based pricing. You’ll bridge strategy and delivery, building on our existing Azure-based agent and Claude usage. Key Responsibilities AI Strategy & Product Management • Own the AI roadmap: identify high-impact opportunities across departments (operations, sales, HR, finance, underwriting, and more), prioritize initiatives based on business value, feasibility, and ROI, and define clear requirements and success metrics. • Partner cross-functionally with leadership and teams to discover use cases, gather requirements, and align AI efforts with company goals. • Evaluate AI tools, platforms, and emerging technologies, recommending the best fit for our needs. AI Experimentation, Implementation & Process Improvement • Drive prototyping and deployment of AI-powered tools, copilots, automations, workflows, and knowledge assistants using LLMs, integrations, and low-code/no-code platforms. • Spot inefficiencies and lead the design/implementation of AI-enhanced workflows to significantly boost team productivity and embed AI into daily operations. • Leverage AI to continuously improve risk assessments, underwriting processes, and risk-based pricing by refining models and delivering more accurate, data-driven insights. • Build and maintain internal resources such as knowledge bases, prompt libraries, reusable frameworks, and documentation to scale AI adoption company-wide. Technical Stewardship & Operations • Support and evolve our Azure cloud environment, integrations (SharePoint, blob storage, CRM, etc.), access management, and basic security needs. • Handle technical requests and system maintenance while balancing innovation with clean, organized, and secure operations. Change Management & AI Adoption • Champion AI literacy through training, best practices, and ongoing support. • Measure and report on AI initiative outcomes, iterating based on results to drive continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For • 3–6 years of experience in AI implementation, product management, digital transformation, automation, or related technical/strategic roles. • Proven track record of identifying AI opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, and delivering measurable process improvements and business value. • Deep practical knowledge of AI tools, including LLMs, prompt engineering, automations, and integrating AI into workflows. • Technical proficiency and hands-on experience with prototyping/implementing AI solutions (coding/scripting experience is a plus; comfort with low-code platforms, APIs, and cloud integrations is essential). • Understanding of (or strong interest in) risk models and leveraging AI for risk assessments, underwriting, and risk-based pricing. • A creative, proactive product-oriented mindset—you excel at turning business problems into prioritized, high-impact AI solutions. • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments (or strong willingness to learn quickly). • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced, “figure-it-out” environment. Nice to Have • Experience in product management or solutions architecture for AI/tech initiatives. • Personal side projects or internal tools built with AI (especially involving custom coding, process automation, or risk/analytics applications). • Exposure to RAG, workflow automation platforms, predictive modeling, or similar concepts. • Background in fintech, lending, insurance, or risk-heavy domains. • Genuine passion for staying ahead of AI trends and applying them practically for business impact. Why Join Us? • High visibility and direct impact on how the entire company uses AI—including smarter risk assessment and pricing. • Freedom to shape the AI strategy and roadmap while executing hands-on. • Opportunity to build AI capabilities from the ground up in a growing organization. • Blend of strategic product leadership, creative experimentation, and real business results in a supportive, fast-moving team.
