Role Description As a Patching Engineer, you will use knowledge of systems and database management products and services to support the IT infrastructure. This role requires the Patch Engineer to be responsible for delivering system & database patching and upgrade services to Global Infrastructure. Patching process documentation will be required. Specific duties include: - Designing, testing, and debugging small to medium software enhancements and solutions within the business and technical problem domains. - Developing, testing, debugging, and implementing software programs, applications and projects using C#, SQL, or other related software engineering languages. - Writing unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality end product. - Conducting manual tests to ensure a high-quality end product. - Participating in code reviews. - Applying knowledge of and experience with object-oriented programming, data structures, compiler or interpreter technologies, operating systems, related databases, scripting and new/advanced technologies. - Actively participating in the agile software development process by adhering to the scrum methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Telecommuting from within the U.S. permitted pursuant to Company policy. Qualifications - Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; plus 3 years of experience in professional software engineering. - Alternatively, will accept a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; plus 5 years of experience in professional software engineering. Requirements - Proven ability with the following: object-oriented programming, data structures, compiler or interpreter technologies, operating systems, relational databases (RDBMS), scripting and new/advanced programming languages. - Demonstrated ability to work on small to medium sized projects with moderate supervision. - Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment. - Demonstrated ability working with an Agile development methodology. - Demonstrated solid ability with C#, SQL, Win FORMS, and multi-threading. Salary Range $178,131 - $180,000 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
