Apex DBA - Senior Manager

Role Description As a Patching Engineer, you will use knowledge of systems and database management products and services to support the IT infrastructure. This role requires the Patch Engineer to be responsible for delivering system & database patching and upgrade services to Global Infrastructure. Patching process documentation will be required. The candidate will also be responsible for interacting with application counterparts on a regular basis and serving as the technology expert on the infrastructure's behalf. This service is delivered via remote support, and the candidate should be able to work in an independent environment while interacting with other team members remotely. - Develop and optimize pre- and post-patching processes to ensure proper implementation without any outages. - Score each patch based on risks & opportunities to prioritize. Identify which patches are more valuable to the organization than others. - Coordinate patch schedule with other teams such as patch team, infrastructure management, security operations, governance & risk. Communicate project and operational metrics. - Thorough testing of patches in a non-Production environment. Must be able to think ahead to avoid business outages based on the lab results. - Able to remediate vulnerabilities, which may require more than patches, such as changing register values and working with the firewall group. Requires research capabilities with intellectual curiosity to figure out how to remediate vulnerabilities. - Exposed to diverse IT technologies to come up with recommendations to remediate any vulnerabilities in the Infrastructure environment, including but not limited to Storage, Network, Security, and computing servers and devices. - Able to work with product vendors to come up with suitable patch recommendations without risking systems. - Assist in the process for vulnerability and patch management ensuring they are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives. - Review and analyze new requests, work with IT partners, vendors, and business leaders to understand patch management needs; partner on solutions and recommendations for business initiatives based on application requirements. - Research, evaluate, develop, design, and implement patch remediation designs and standards following industry best practices. - Develop and implement patch and vulnerability remediation processes including package creation, testing, and deployment. About the role:As a Territory Manager at Halter, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and ensuring customer success within your designated territory. You will be responsible for executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and meeting ambitious growth targets, all while acting as Halter’s on-the-ground representative. This role requires a proactive and hands-on approach, with a focus on both expansion and long-term customer satisfaction. In this role, you will prioritise daily efforts that optimise growth performance and drive value for your customers. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Support, and other regional sales teams, you’ll share field insights to ensure Halter’s technology continues to meet the needs of farmers. Your contributions will directly support Halter’s mission to support 50% of the world's habitable landmass to be more productive and sustainable. Location - This role is to be based anywhere in the Western Downs region of QLD. Frequent travel is required as part of the position. Who Are We Looking For - Sales & Customer Success Expertise: Value-based sales experience, with a strong history of creating opportunities, closing deals, and building lasting customer relationships. You understand post-sales value building and have experience upselling to grow partnerships. - Beef Industry Experience: You know the ropes of beef operations, understanding the unique challenges of the industry. If you don’t, you will be deeply passionate about it, and willing to dive deep into the operations of a farm to learn rapidly. - Attitude: You naturally play for the front of the jersey. Make those around you better. Thrive under pressure and own your results. You bring authentic energy and passion to every interaction. - Territory Management: Able to use critical thinking to manage a large territory with a balanced focus on sales and customer success, making the appropriate trade-offs. - Problem Solving & Collaboration: Resourceful and quick-thinking, you work well with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive solutions. - Willingness to Travel: Frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects. What Your Day Could Look Like - Prospecting & Expansion: Sourcing new leads and opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, industry events, and other channels, as well as responding to inbound queries. You’ll manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to close. - Hitting Sales Targets: Manage your pipeline and meet high-growth sales targets by screening, qualifying, demonstrating the product, and successfully negotiating contracts with customers. - Customer Account Management: After the sale, maintain close relationships with customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, provide support, and address any challenges they face with Halter’s products. You’ll also ensure a smooth handoff from sales to customer onboarding and deployment of Halter, helping customers get the most value from Halter’s solutions. - Territory Ownership: A high level of ownership in your territory working with regional agricultural groups to foster deep relationships across the beef industry. - Customer Onboarding: Assist in owning the end-to-end customer experience during onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation. - Field Learnings & Feedback: Serve as the primary point of contact for gathering customer feedback in your territory. Work closely with Support, Product, and R&D teams to share insights from the field that can drive product improvements and innovations. - Collaborating with Support Teams: Partner with the Support Team to resolve any issues your customers encounter quickly. You’ll escalate problems as needed and ensure that customers in your territory feel fully supported.
