Engineering Group Manager – Marketing Adobe Platforms Role Summary The Engineering Group Manager for Marketing Adobe Platforms is a senior technical leader responsible for driving transformative, enterprise scale development across approximately six cross functional Adobe engineering crews. Delivery & Execution Excellence • Translate marketing and product intent into clear, executable technical plans with well defined success criteria. • Establish and enforce “ready to execute” standards (architecture readiness, non functional requirements, dependency clarity) before teams commit to delivery. • Use PI Planning, Demo Days, and execution reviews as decision points, not status updates. • Drive predictable delivery through strong upfront engineering rigor and transparent trade off management. Engineering Culture & Talent Development • Build a high performing engineering culture grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. • Coach senior and mid level engineers, tech leads, and architects to raise the bar on design quality, code health, and system thinking. • Identify skill gaps (e.g., Adobe specialization, data enablement, integration engineering) and proactively address them through hiring, upskilling, or vendor strategy. • Act as a technical mentor and escalation point for complex engineering challenges. • Hire, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of ML engineers/systems-oriented engineers working on model optimization and ML efficiency. • Define the roadmap for training optimization, inference optimization, launch-readiness tooling, and reusable efficiency primitives across Ads ML. • Drive reductions in model training time, online latency, serving cost, and infra-driven launch risk. • Guide the development of profiling, benchmarking, load testing, observability, cost analysis, debugging, and efficiency certification systems. • Partner with model owners and platform teams to accelerate high-priority launches and remove bottlenecks from the path to production. • Balance near-term white-glove optimization work with medium-term platformization and automation. • Work closely with MLP, AMP, Ranking, and serving teams to clarify boundaries, upstream generic wins, and keep Ads needs on track. • Establish engineering rigor around measurement, performance debugging, launch safety, and technical decision-making for efficiency work.
