Role Description We are seeking a Pre-Litigation Employment Attorney who thrives in a client-facing, strategy-driven role. This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys managing cases from early evaluation through resolution, building strong client relationships, and maximizing case value. While the primary focus is pre-litigation, the role may include a small number of cases that proceed into litigation. This is not a back-office position. You will be a primary point of contact for clients and will play a central role in case development, valuation, and resolution strategy. This role is designed for attorneys who want meaningful responsibility, direct client impact, and hands-on case ownership. You will work with a highly experienced team known for results, credibility, and leverage factors that directly contribute to stronger settlements and outcomes. Key Responsibilities - Manage a high-volume docket of pre-litigation employment matters - Serve as primary client contact and maintain consistent, high-quality client communication - Conduct case evaluations, strategy development, and risk/value assessments - Draft demand packages and pre-litigation submissions - Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations - Prepare matters for litigation handoff when necessary - Handle a limited number of cases that proceed into litigation, as assigned Qualifications - Active member in good standing with the California State Bar - 1–7 years of legal experience (employment law preferred) - Strong client management and communication skills - Excellent writing and negotiation ability - Highly organized with the ability to manage a large caseload - Business-minded approach to case valuation and resolution - Litigation experience is a plus but not required Benefits - Base salary: $130,000–$160,000 annually + commission + performance-based bonus opportunity - Attorneys benefit from the firm’s strong reputation and proven ability to command top settlements - Clear, merit-based path to advancement, including shareholder opportunities - 100% employer-paid dental and vision - 100% employer-paid Silver-level medical plans - Approximately 10% retirement contribution (3% Safe Harbor + 7% Profit Sharing) - $500 annual FSA contribution - 80 hours PTO + sick time + paid birthday off - Firm-paid bar dues and MCLEs - Attorney referral bonuses - Firm-sponsored social and networking events Culture - Team-driven environment - High accountability with strong operational support - Client-centered, results-focused practice - Built for attorneys who want ownership, impact, and growth
