Role Description We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our design team and play a key role in shaping high-impact, user-centered digital products. Main Responsibilities - Own and lead the design vision across projects, from early discovery and product definition to high-fidelity execution and delivery. - Drive strategic design decisions, ensuring solutions are not only user-centered but also aligned with business goals and technical feasibility. - Partner closely with clients, product managers, and engineering leads to co-create solutions, challenge assumptions, and elevate product thinking. - Lead complex design projects across the full product lifecycle, including multiple releases and iterations. - Facilitate discovery and definition processes, helping teams deeply understand user needs, problem spaces, and opportunities. - Mentor and support other designers, providing feedback, raising the quality bar, and contributing to team growth. - Evaluate product performance, using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions and continuously improve experiences. - Advocate for users, ensuring their needs and behaviors meaningfully shape product direction. - Balance speed and craft, knowing when to explore broadly with low-fidelity concepts and when to refine with high attention to detail. - Communicate design decisions effectively, using storytelling, frameworks, and artifacts to align stakeholders and drive clarity. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in digital product design, ideally within an agency or fast-paced product environment. - A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership, strategic thinking, and measurable impact on products. - Proven ability to lead design processes independently, from discovery through delivery, including research, ideation, prototyping, and validation. - Experience working with cross-functional teams and directly with clients, influencing decisions beyond design. - Strong understanding of product strategy, user experience, and systems thinking, with the ability to connect design decisions to business outcomes. - Experience designing and running experiments, using hypotheses and data (qualitative and quantitative) to guide decisions. - High comfort navigating ambiguity and complexity, with the ability to bring structure, clarity, and direction. - Strong visual design and interaction sensibility, with attention to detail and consistency. - Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to articulate ideas, lead workshops, and align stakeholders. - Experience mentoring or guiding other designers is a plus. - Proficiency in English. As a Product Manager at Rootstrap, your integral role involves shaping and implementing innovative product visions for our clients. Operating as a collaborative consultant and team contributor, you will actively engage in various aspects of product development. In your position, you will work alongside various teams, such as designers, engineers, and other departments, to create the product strategy and roadmap, bringing the client's vision to life. Your duties encompass the full product lifecycle, from concept to launch. What are the main responsibilities of this role? - Lead the delivery process for multiple initiatives in parallel while working in cross-functional teams. - Provide leadership in product discovery for products in the 0 to 1 and growth stages, guiding the team in identifying opportunities and solutions. - Manage stakeholders and their expectations. - Identify and define problems accurately, generate ideas, and prioritize them with input from key stakeholders. - Elaborate on a roadmap to help everyone understand where the product is going and be the vision keeper. - Write precise, efficient product specs, including transforming requirements into user stories that can be developed on the sprints. - Participate actively in standard agile ceremonies (daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint retrospectives, sprint demos, etc.) - Collaborate with other leaders on the team and work actively with stakeholders on the product strategy to drive outcome-oriented results. Which skills and experience do we envision for this role? - Candidates must have a proven track record of successfully launching digital products to the market. (Required) - Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a product manager, preferably with a software development or technical background, helps understand the product lifecycle, development processes, and the challenges of bringing new products to the market (Required). - A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or a technical field, is beneficial. - Experience working closely with product teams, designers, and engineers to deliver the highest quality user experience. - You can demonstrate your Product Management skills: Prioritization, discovery, analytics, negotiation, facilitation, ownership, and research. - Advanced experience with the Agile development process and a clear understanding of the digital product development lifecycle. - Proven relevant technical skills, data analysis, technical writing, implementation of product analytics tools, A/B testing, and programming basics are a plus. - Advanced or bilingual English for non-native speakers (Required). - Located in Latin America, we primarily work with clients in the EST and PST time zones, accommodating their schedules as needed.
