AI Tooling Engineer

Qventus

Qventus is leading the transformation of healthcare. We enable hospitals to focus on what matters most: patient care. Our innovative solutions harness the power of machine learning, generative AI, and behavioral science to deliver exceptional outcomes and empower care teams to anticipate and resolve issues before they arise. Our success in rapid scale across the globe is backed by some of the world's leading investors. At Qventus, you will have the opportunity to work with an exceptional, mission-driven team across the globe, and the ability to directly impact the lives of patients.

Role Description We're hiring Engineers dedicated to building AI-powered tools that change how work gets done inside the company. You'll embed with teams across operations, customer success, and finance, find the work that's slow and manual, and ship AI agents and automations that actually get adopted. This is a build-fast, talk-to-humans, own-the-problem role - not a research role and not a pure-infrastructure role. You'll define what "internal AI" looks like here from scratch. Who this is for - You're energized by ambiguity and ownership. - You'd rather ship a rough tool this week, watch someone use it, and improve it than spend a month on a perfect spec. - You like sitting with a non-technical teammate, understanding their actual workflow, and turning it into something that saves them hours. - You're comfortable being the only person who owns a problem end to end. Who you will work with - Partner closely with the CEO and founders on identifying the highest-leverage operational problems to solve. - Work alongside functional leaders across the business to understand their priorities, surface opportunities, and align on what to build. - Collaborate with Operations, Customer Success, Finance, People/Talent Acquisition, Engineering, IT, and Data teams. What you'll actually build - An agent that drafts customer success replies from our knowledge base and ticket history. - A Slack-based workflow that routes and pre-fills finance approvals. - An internal eval harness so we can trust the LLM features we ship. - A tool that lets the ops team query [internal system] in plain language. Qualifications - 1–3 years building software — backend services, internal tools, automations, or API-driven apps. Internships and co-ops count. - Strong in TypeScript and/or Python. - Experience building something with LLMs — an agent, a RAG pipeline, a copilot, a prompt-driven tool — through work, a side project, or coursework. - Comfortable wiring systems together: APIs, webhooks, SaaS integrations, async workflows. - Ability to talk to non-technical stakeholders, figure out what they really need, and drive adoption. - Ability to move fast under ambiguity and iterate from real feedback. Bonus, not required - Built copilots, agents, or workflow automations before. - Used an orchestration framework (LangChain, Temporal, or similar). - Worked with vector databases or retrieval systems. - Integrated with Salesforce, Slack, Zendesk, Notion, or Jira. - Startup / high-growth experience. What success looks like - First few weeks: shipped your first internal tool and it's in active daily use by a business team. - Within 2 months: 2–3 tools live, and stakeholders are coming to you with ideas. - By month 3: you've set the team's baseline practices for evals, prompt management, and safe LLM deployment. Compensation Compensation for this role is based on market data and takes into account a variety of factors, including location, skills, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. Salary is just one part of the total rewards package at Qventus. Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 USD Benefits - Open Paid Time Off. - Paid parental leave. - Professional development. - Wellness and technology stipends. - A generous employee referral bonus. - Employee stock option awards. Equal Opportunity Employment Qventus values diversity in its workforce and proudly upholds the principles of Equal Opportunity Employment. We welcome all qualified applicants and ensure fair consideration for employment without discrimination based on any legally protected characteristics.

Business Analyst71 days ago

Role Description We're looking for a Senior Metrics & Insights Lead to join our global Analytics organization and serve as the technical lead for analytics within our Perioperative Care Coordination solution. This role lives in the space between a product question and a working analytical answer - taking the problem and initial story a PM brings and applying analytical rigor, navigating stakeholder alignment, and deep data & domain understanding to create something delighting, defensible, and trustworthy. In this role, you will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and engineering partners to craft not just insightful dashboards and analytical tools, but also the core metric layer that lets downstream users increasingly answer their own questions. As the technical lead for the analytics pod in PCC, you're who people call to unblock and keep things moving — scoping and refining work sprint to sprint, guiding the dashboards and insights that get built on top of your definitions, and holding ultimate technical responsibility for what the team ships. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ambiguity at the start of a problem, asks hard questions early, and takes ownership of analytical correctness before work moves downstream. Key Responsibilities - Partner with PMs to turn an initial problem and story into an analytically rigorous product, with metrics defined precisely enough for engineers to build against. - Drive exploratory analysis and POCs in early-stage product discovery to bring analytical rigor and stakeholder alignment early into ROI stories and support data driven product development. - Build and steward the core metric layer for the solution, grounding definitions in hands-on data exploration, navigating cross-functional alignment when interpretations differ, and creating durable documentation that downstream users and future teams can trust. - Lead the solution analytics pod as its technical owner to scope and sequence work sprint to sprint, guide dashboard and insight design, and keep the team unblocked and moving. - Own analytical quality for the solution, setting the bar for rigor, surfacing risks before they become rework, and holding ultimate technical responsibility for what the team ships. Qualifications - Hands-on expertise with SQL (dbt preferred), and modern data warehouse environments to perform exploratory data analysis, quality assessments, and debug metric definitions. - Sharp data intuition and analytical storytelling with ability to translate ambiguous questions into well-defined metrics and specifications. - Deep expertise with modern BI and analytics tooling - clear understanding of how definitional choices flow through to dashboards, semantic layers, and downstream consumption. - Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management and communication. Ability to drive alignment when interpretations differ and to explain complex analytical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Demonstrated technical leadership and project management instincts, including scoping and sizing analytics work, sequencing it across sprints, and keeping a team focused and unblocked. It’s a Plus if You Have - Expertise in the healthcare domain and familiarity with healthcare operational data, clinical workflows, hospital operations, or common healthcare measurement challenges. - Familiarity with data governance, metric governance, or semantic layer concepts, especially in environments where consistency across teams, solutions, or customer implementations is critical. - Experience with data logic implemented in dbt and/or data visualization in Sigma. - Experience using knowledge management systems to document metric definitions, analytical decisions, stakeholder alignment, and implementation-ready requirements. - Experience contributing to analytics QA processes, validation workflows, peer review practices, or release readiness checks for customer-facing analytics. - Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, natural language analytics, semantic layers, or agentic analytics workflows, especially where high-quality metric definitions and trusted analytical context are required for safe and useful AI outputs. Compensation Compensation for this role is based on market data and takes into account a variety of factors, including location, skills, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. Salary is just one part of the total rewards package at Qventus. We also offer a range of benefits and perks, including: - Open Paid Time Off - Paid parental leave - Professional development - Wellness and technology stipends - A generous employee referral bonus - Employee stock option awards Salary Range $140,000 - $160,000 USD
