Role Description We're looking for a Senior AI Product Engineer to own the continuous improvement of our customer-facing AI products, making them more accurate, reliable, cost-efficient, and genuinely useful to the people who rely on them every day. This isn't a prompt-writing job; it's about building the structured loop of evaluation, experimentation, and analytics that turns AI from a feature into a measurable product advantage. You'll work at the intersection of Product, Growth, and Engineering, with real influence over how AI behavior gets measured, improved, and shipped. What You’ll Do - Own the end-to-end quality of our AI-powered product experiences, improving response usefulness, consistency, and reliability in ways users actually notice. - Build evaluation frameworks and repeatable test sets so we can measure AI quality objectively, not anecdotally. - Design and run experiments on prompts, context strategies, and model settings, connecting every change to activation, conversion, retention, or satisfaction metrics. - Monitor and reduce AI-related costs (tokens, latency, model choice, retrieval) without compromising the user experience. - Translate AI failure patterns, hallucinations, inconsistent outputs, weak reasoning, into clear, prioritized fixes for Product and Engineering. - Help Product, Growth, and Engineering teams understand where AI changes create real user and business impact. Qualifications - 5+ years in software engineering, AI product engineering, ML engineering, or a related technical role, plus 2+ years hands-on with LLMs, prompt engineering, or applied AI systems. - Proven experience improving AI features post-launch through analytics, experimentation, and structured evaluation, not just initial prompt design. - Strong grasp of product analytics, funnel metrics, and how to connect AI behavior to business outcomes. - Ability to diagnose whether an AI quality issue stems from prompts, context, model limitations, UX, or data, and to fix the right layer. - Strong written communication and the ability to work autonomously in a remote, async environment. - Comfort working closely with Product, Growth, Design, Engineering, QA, and Analytics. - Comfort with ownership, transparency, and a results-driven mindset. Nice to Have - Experience with A/B testing frameworks, AI observability tools, or custom evaluation pipelines. - Hands-on work with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, AWS Bedrock, or similar LLM providers. - Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, semantic search, or tool-calling architectures. - Background in chatbot, assistant, content generation, or recommendation products. What We Offer - Remote-first: work from anywhere in the world, no relocation required. - Flexible hours: we measure outcomes, not time at a desk. - Unlimited PTO: take the time you need to rest, recharge, and do your best work. - Learning & development budget: courses, books, conferences, certifications, whatever helps you grow. - Performance-based compensation: your impact directly shapes your pay and career trajectory. - A small, senior, collaborative team where your work is visible and your decisions matter. - The chance to build products used by millions of people across 160+ countries. Equal Opportunity Progress Partners is an equal opportunity employer, and we’re serious about building a diverse, inclusive team. We welcome applications from people of all genders, gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, ages, ethnicities, nationalities, religions, disabilities, neurotypes, family situations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and life experiences. We hire on skills, experience, potential, and values fit, never on protected characteristics. If you need accommodations during the application or interview process, just let us know.
Role Description We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build our data platform from scratch, a rare greenfield opportunity to make the foundational architecture calls yourself. You'll design the pipelines that bring together high-volume payment transactions, marketing analytics, and operational data across AWS and GCP into a unified Lakehouse. This is a hands-on, ownership-heavy role. What You’ll Do - Design and build ingestion pipelines for high-volume payment data (Stripe, PayPal, Solidgate), marketing analytics (GA4, GTM, Google Ads, Amplitude), and operational databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL). - Build the data infrastructure for a Lakehouse using AWS and GCP. - Build medallion-layer transformation models (Bronze → Silver → Gold) in dbt or SQLMesh, with payments on Redshift and marketing on BigQuery. - Own orchestration end-to-end in Dagster or Airflow, lineage, sensors, backfills, retries, and alerting across the full asset graph. - Implement infrastructure as code best practices, cost controls etc. Qualifications - 3+ years building production data platforms and pipelines from the ground up. - Deep expertise in Dagster or Airflow, including lineage, backfill, and retry strategies. - Hands-on experience with dbt or SQLMesh, version-controlled transformations. - Strong AWS and GCP skills, with Terraform for infrastructure as code and a cost-conscious (FinOps) approach. - Strong written communication and the ability to work autonomously in a remote, async environment. Nice to Have - Familiarity with data mesh principles, domain ownership, or data product design. - Experience with Apache Spark or Flink for large-scale compaction workloads. Role Description We're looking for a Senior AI Platform / DevTool Engineer to build the reusable AI tooling, automation, and shared services that help our internal and external teams ship faster and more consistently. This is a platform role, not a customer-facing prompt role, you'll build the RAG systems, AI-assisted workflows, and developer tools that turn scattered individual AI usage into a real engineering capability. You'll have the freedom to go from idea to working internal tool, with real ownership over adoption, reliability, and cost. What You’ll Do - Build internal AI tools and workflow automation that remove repeated manual work across Engineering, Product, QA, and Design. - Implement RAG-based knowledge systems that make product specs, technical docs, and architecture decisions actually searchable and useful. - Create reusable AI-assisted SDLC workflows, from product briefs and acceptance criteria to test scenarios and release documentation. - Evaluate and integrate coding assistants, design-to-code tooling, and other AI-enabled developer tools where they create real leverage. - Define secure, observable, and cost-aware patterns for AI tooling, and own usage, reliability, and cost monitoring across what you build. Qualifications - 6+ years in software engineering, platform engineering, developer tooling, or related technical roles. - 2+ years building AI-powered tools, LLM-based systems, or RAG solutions. - Strong software engineering background with a track record of shipping reliable, maintainable tools used by other engineers. - Experience designing APIs, SDKs, or reusable internal services that teams actually adopt. - Solid grasp of RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval workflows. - Strong written communication and the ability to work autonomously in a remote, async environment. - Comfort with ownership, transparency, and a results-driven mindset. Nice to Have - Experience with Figma-to-code, component generation, or design-system automation. - Familiarity with coding assistants, AI agents, or agentic workflow orchestration (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vercel AI SDK, or similar). - Experience integrating AI tooling into GitHub, Jira, Slack, Confluence, Linear, or CI/CD pipelines. - Background supporting external engineering teams or vendor delivery models. Benefits - Remote-first: work from anywhere in the world, no relocation required.
