Staff Product Manager, Consumer Experience
ProdegeFounded in 2005, Prodege, LLC is a private American company headquartered in El Segundo, California, specializing in online marketing, consumer surveys, and mar
Role Description This is an own-a-hard-problem role, not a manage-a-backlog one. Prodege is moving fast and changing fast, and we need a Staff PM who finds that energizing rather than exhausting. If you want defined scope, a stable roadmap, and a settled set of mechanics to optimize, this isn't your role, and that's okay. But if you're the kind of PM who walks into a messy member-behavior problem and starts diagnosing why the habit isn't forming, who'd rather own the engagement loop outright than tune someone else's funnel, and who moves teams through influence rather than waiting for authority, keep reading. One thing to be clear about up front: this is a senior individual contributor role. You own a squad's mission and a hard member-behavior problem directly, and you move it through engineering, design, data, marketing, and lifecycle partners without formal authority. If you're looking for a people-management seat, this isn't it, and that's by design. You'll own the engagement and retention loop on our Consumer Experience (CX) team. CX owns the member journey across our owned-and-operated brands, Swagbucks, MyPoints, and InboxDollars: earning, engagement, and lifecycle. Millions of members come to these products to earn rewards through surveys, games, shopping, and offers. Whether they reach a successful first earn, trust the system, and build a repeat habit is what determines the health of the O&O business. Your squad is focused on the engagement and retention loop: how members build habits through engagement mechanics, keep coming back, and survive the early-churn window. You lead with influence across the adjacent earning, rewards, and lifecycle surfaces, raising product craft wherever the member experience touches your loop. You'll report to the Sr. Director, Consumer Product and partner closely with engineering, design, data/analytics, and marketing leadership. What you'll own: - The engagement and retention loop. - Engagement and habit mechanics. - Influence across earning, rewards, and lifecycle. - Behavior change, not funnel optimization. - Craft across the team. What success looks like: - In your first 3 months, you've diagnosed why members fail to build a repeat habit, lose trust, or stop earning, earned credibility across engineering and data, and shipped visible improvements to core engagement loops or early retention. - At 6 months, you own a CX squad with a clear mission, metric, roadmap, and a steady experiment cadence. - Long-term, you're the senior consumer-engagement voice on CX. What you'll do: - Squad ownership and strategy - Engagement and behavior design - Influence across the member experience - Experimentation and outcomes Why this role is worth your time: - A real behavior problem to own. - Named, high-traffic products: Swagbucks, MyPoints, and InboxDollars. - Staff-level influence. - The mechanics are yours to build. - Backed for growth. Qualifications - 7+ years of product management experience, with a track record as a strong senior individual contributor. - True consumer product ownership. - Behavior-change proof. - Engagement and gamification depth. - Rewards and trust judgment. - Lifecycle judgment. - Product taste. - Experimentation fluency. - Leads through influence. - Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities. - Exceptional communication and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Nice-to-haves - Direct experience with rewards, cashback, points, or loyalty products. - Background in gaming or social products. - Experience in consumer subscription, marketplace, or commerce products. - Familiarity with lifecycle/CRM systems. - Experience designing for or incorporating AI-powered features into consumer products. Pay Transparency The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $245,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, the type and length of knowledge and skills for the position, education, training, etc. Benefits - Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, and basic life insurance. - Flexible PTO, plus paid sick leave prorated based on hire date. - Eight paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement At Prodege, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. We encourage individuals of all backgrounds to apply.

Director, Product Designer, Consumer Experience
ProdegeFounded in 2005, Prodege, LLC is a private American company headquartered in El Segundo, California, specializing in online marketing, consumer surveys, and mar
Role Description We're looking for a Director, Product Designer, Consumer Experience to lead design for our Core Product portfolio at a senior leadership level. You will lead Product Design at Prodege, owning the design vision, quality, and team across our consumer (B2C) and business (B2B) products. Our consumer apps are the heart of the ecosystem (~80% of your focus), serving millions of members who earn rewards through surveys, games, shopping, and offers. Our B2B products serve the clients and partners who power that ecosystem. You'll operate as a strategic partner to Product, Engineering, and Marketing leadership, owning how design contributes to business outcomes, customer trust, and long-term product vision. As a senior design leader, this role shapes how millions of members discover, engage with, and find value in Prodege's products, translating complex reward and loyalty mechanics into intuitive, delightful, and accessible experiences that drive acquisition, activation, engagement, and long-term retention. This is a player-coach role. You'll have designers reporting to you, but you'll also roll up your sleeves on the work that matters most. You're building a team and a practice, not just managing one. You report to the Chief Product Officer and partner directly with Product Management, Engineering, Data, and Marketing leadership. What You'll Own - Design vision and strategy: Set the direction for how Prodege's products look, feel, and work across consumer (B2C) brands products, designed intentionally for their distinct users and contexts. - The team: Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing design team. Set clear expectations, give direct feedback, and create an environment where designers do career-best work. - Design quality and craft: Establish the bar. Whether it's a member onboarding flow or a client-facing dashboard, the end product should be intuitive, polished, and grounded in real user needs. - Systems and scalability: Build and evolve design systems that let the team move fast without sacrificing consistency or accessibility. - Outcomes, not just outputs: Partner with Product and Data to ensure design decisions connect to the metrics that matter: activation, retention, engagement, and client satisfaction. What does SUCCESS look like? - In the first 3 months, you've assessed the current state, earned trust across Product and Engineering, established design standards, and started shipping visible improvements to the consumer experience. - At 6 months, the design team is stronger (in capability and possibly size), there's a functioning design system, and your work has measurably moved at least one core business metric. Cross-functional leaders consider design a strategic advantage, not a service function. - Long-term, you are the design conscience and creative force behind Prodege's consumer brand experiences, driving a measurably more cohesive, intuitive, and delightful product across web and mobile. Detailed Job Duties - Design Vision & Strategy: Set and communicate design vision, principles, and direction across Prodege's consumer product portfolio. - Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data leadership to align design strategy with business goals and roadmaps. - Translate complex reward and loyalty mechanics into intuitive, delightful experiences across Prodege's web and mobile products. - Present work, rationale, and strategy to executive stakeholders with clarity and confidence. - Advocate for user needs and design quality in prioritization and roadmap discussions. Team Leadership & Development - Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing product design team. - Set clear expectations, deliver direct feedback, and conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews. - Manage capacity and prioritization across concurrent workstreams. - Establish team rituals (critiques, reviews, retrospectives) that raise craft and collaboration. Design Quality & Scalability - Own the quality bar for all consumer design output across Prodege O&O (Owned & Operated) brands. - Lead hands-on design on highest-impact initiatives: onboarding, engagement loops, and reward experiences. - Champion user-centered practices including research, usability testing, journey mapping, and iterative prototyping. - Ensure accessibility standards are met across all product experiences. - Partner with Engineering on accurate implementation, maintenance, and system governance. Outcomes & Data-Informed Design - Define success metrics for design initiatives in partnership with Product and Data leads. - Use quantitative signals (activation, retention, engagement) and qualitative insights to inform and validate design decisions. - Design and support A/B tests to optimize experiences and measure impact. - Communicate design impact clearly to leadership. Qualifications - 10-12+ years of experience in Product Design, with 5+ years directly managing product designers. - Experience working on products that incorporate or are moving toward AI-powered features, and the judgment to know how to design for emerging capabilities thoughtfully. - A strong portfolio demonstrating design leadership of high craft, complex products from concept through launch, with clear impact on users and the business. - Excellent judgment. You know when to go deep, when to delegate, and when to push. - Proven experience leading design strategy and execution in close partnership with senior Product and Engineering. - Demonstrated ability to define and ship high-quality experiences in complex, ambiguous problem spaces with velocity. - Strong product instincts. You can zoom out to strategy and zoom in to details with equal confidence. - Deep commitment to growing people and raising the craft bar across a team. - Comfort operating in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities. - Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. - A growth mindset, resilience, and a bias toward learning through doing. - Strong people leadership instincts with a bias toward clarity, empathy, and accountability. Nice to Haves - Experience designing B2B or SaaS products such as client-facing dashboards, partner portals, or operational platforms. - Experience designing for or incorporating AI-powered features into consumer products. - Background in building AdTech, rewards/loyalty, or MarTech experiences. - Familiarity with gamification, behavioral nudges, or reward system design. - Experience in experimentation-heavy product environments. Additional Management Responsibilities - Performance Management: Setting and managing goals, ongoing coaching, corrective action, annual reviews, rewards/recognition, and team/individual development. - Employee Life Cycle Management: Headcount forecasting, job descriptions, recruiting/hiring, termination. - Governance: Ensuring compliance to company policy/practice (e.g. attendance, behavior, workplace attire), ensuring compliance to employment law (e.g. time keeping, anti-harassment and diversity). - Leadership: Ensures availability to staff, team building, building rapport with individuals, encouraging strong collaborative relationships between individuals and departments, facilitating a healthy work/life mix, solicits and applies feedback (internal and external to team), self-improvement as a leader/manager of people. - Culture Ambassador: Proactively demonstrate and cultivate a culture of cooperative collaboration, strong work ethic, solutions-orientation, quality focus, results-orientation, relaxed/enjoyable atmosphere, team- and individual- celebration, and company/product pride.
