Role Description The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor is a Registered Nurse responsible for overseeing the accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance of all OASIS, HOPE, and Plan of Care (POC) documentation for home health and hospice services. This role ensures patient records accurately reflect diagnoses, care plans, and skilled interventions in accordance with Medicare, state, and accreditation standards. The Quality Assurance Supervisor supports clinical excellence and optimal reimbursement through staff education, auditing, and process improvement initiatives. In addition, this position is responsible for managing Quality Assurance nurses, overseeing QA workflows, and ensuring compliance with corporate standards in support of the organization’s overall mission and goals. In this role you will be responsible for: - Participates in the organization’s strategic planning activities. Focuses attention on quality objectives. - Aids with the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, SOPs, forms, quality improvement monitors, and other components of program infrastructure every year and as needed. - Directs all aspects of home care and hospice QA operations in accordance with the mission and values of Optimal Care, legal and regulatory requirements, payer and accreditation standards, customer expectations and organization policy. - Supervises and coordinates resources to manage timely completion of QA workflow including submission of OASIS and HOPE. - Utilizes principles of personnel management, legal considerations and fair employee practices. - Coaches and directs staff based on findings from formal and informal needs assessments. - Conducts performance appraisals, accurately and as per policy. Ensures all documentation is accurate, complete, and timely and adheres to Medicare guidelines. - Maintains adequate staffing levels to manage QA workflow. - Ensures compliance with the requirements of state licensure, Medicare certification, and any other applicable oversight agencies through policy and procedure development, staff education, and ongoing monitoring activities. - Provides input to related administrative/computerized systems and monitors and processing of data relating quality care and measurable outcomes.
