• Pipeline generation: Self-source the majority of your pipeline through outbound prospecting—email, LinkedIn, events, community, and creative account-based plays targeting DevOps, Platform Engineering, and infrastructure leaders. • Full-cycle selling: Run the entire deal from cold outreach through technical discovery, POC, negotiation, and close. • Technical discovery: Deeply understand a prospect’s current observability stack, pain points and the business impact of solving them. • Evaluation management: Coordinate with our Solutions Engineering team on POCs and technical validations; keep deals moving and stakeholders aligned. • Value selling: Translate OpenObserve’s cost and performance advantages into clear business cases—ROI models, competitive comparisons, and executive narratives. • Competitive displacement: Identify and convert accounts running Datadog, Elastic, or Splunk. • CRM hygiene: Maintain accurate pipeline, activity logs, and forecasting in HubSpot. • Market feedback: Surface insights from prospects and customers to inform positioning, product direction, and ICP refinement.

• Foster a strong sense of community among OpenObserve users, contributors, and partners. • Develop and execute strategies to grow the community, including meetups, webinars, and online forums. • Collaborate with the community to gather feedback, prioritize features, and drive the project roadmap. • Develop high-quality technical content (blog posts, tutorials, videos, and documentation) to showcase OpenObserve's capabilities and best practices. • Create engaging demos, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate the value of OpenObserve. • Represent OpenObserve at industry conferences, meetups, and hackathons to promote the project and build relationships with key stakeholders. • Develop and deliver technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions to educate developers about OpenObserve. • Provide technical support and guidance to developers through various channels (e.g., GitHub, Slack, forums). • Help troubleshoot issues, provide code reviews, and offer best practices advice. • Drive technical solutions discussions with your customers, diving deep into the details to solve complex technical business problems and use your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions. • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using OpenObserve. • Work closely with the OpenObserve engineering team to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and provide feedback on the project roadmap. • Collaborate with other open-source projects and industry partners to identify opportunities for integration and growth.

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Pytest for backend testing and Cypress/Playwright for frontend testing. • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for backend services using industry-standard tools and frameworks. • Conduct API testing to ensure high-quality integration and robustness of system interactions. • Develop and maintain performance testing suites to ensure the scalability and responsiveness of applications. • Collaborate with development teams to identify system requirements and incorporate quality assurance measures from the initial stages of development. • Analyze test results, report on test execution, and track defects to ensure timely resolution. • Enhance and maintain the automation framework to support continuous integration and continuous deployment processes. • Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure best practices and high-quality standards in test script development. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in software testing.

• Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation using Markdown and reStructuredText • Develop and improve product documentation, including installation and deployment guides, configuration and usage documentation, API references and examples, troubleshooting and best-practices guides • Write clear, concise, and accurate documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences • Manage documentation repositories on GitHub, including version control, reviews, and contributions • Collaborate with engineers to document new features, APIs, and architectural changes • Ensure documentation aligns with product releases and open-source standards • Review and accept documentation contributions from the community • Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to gather technical insights • Participate in design discussions to understand technical workflows and system behavior • Validate documentation by testing features, APIs, and workflows hands-on

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer architectures and observability needs • Design and propose end-to-end observability solutions using OpenObserve • Own architecture discussions covering scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization • Conduct technical demos, deep dives, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) • Guide customers through onboarding, deployment, and production rollouts • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex customer issues • Advise customers on observability best practices across logs, metrics, and traces • Help customers optimize Kubernetes and cloud observability at scale • Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to influence solution design and roadmap priorities • Provide structured feedback from the field to improve product usability and performance • Create reference architectures, technical documentation, and enablement content

• Research target accounts and personas; run multi-channel outbound (email, phone, LinkedIn, events) to generate qualified pipeline. • Engage signups quickly; discover use cases, assess fit and urgency, and advance or route effectively. • Identify technical decision-makers; tailor outreach to their stack, priorities, and business impact. • Craft segment- and persona-specific sequences; A/B test hooks focused on pain points (cost control, Kubernetes complexity, alert noise). • Draft and optimize sequences, phone scripts, and LinkedIn messages; document plays and iterate based on data. • Act as a trusted advisor in early interactions; guide prospects toward productive evaluations and meetings. • Align with Sales and Marketing on ICP, campaigns, qualification criteria, and territory plans. • Maintain clean CRM hygiene; log activities, schedule follow-ups, and manage progression to SQL. • Capture insights to inform product positioning and marketing content; surface emerging use cases. • Mentor junior SDRs, contribute to hiring and onboarding, and help establish team standards and dashboards.
