Senior Product Engineer

Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Product Engineer (Full-Stack) who can own complex, user-facing systems end-to-end, from product definition and UX trade-offs to backend architecture and data modeling. This is not a role for specialists who only live in one layer. You should be comfortable working on: - Frontend UX - Backend systems - APIs - Data schemas and making pragmatic decisions that balance: - Product velocity - Scalability - Long-term maintainability You will work closely with the founders to design, build, and evolve core AI-powered workflows, and act as a technical and product multiplier for the team. What You’ll Do - Own complex product features end-to-end, from product concept → UX → backend systems → production launch. - Design and build scalable backend architectures, including APIs, async pipelines, and AI inference workflows. - Lead system design for new features, including performance, reliability, and extensibility considerations. - Design clean, scalable data models across multiple storage systems (SQL & NoSQL). - Build high-quality frontend experiences using React / Next.js with strong UX and performance sensibility. - Make informed trade-offs between speed, correctness, and scalability, and explain those trade-offs clearly. - Partner closely with Product, Design, and GTM to translate user needs into technical solutions. - Mentor junior engineers and raise the overall engineering bar through code reviews and technical guidance. - Act as a senior technical voice, influencing architecture, tooling, and engineering best practices. - Occasionally represent engineering decisions externally or act as the CTO’s delegate when needed. Qualifications - Strong Full-Stack engineering experience shipping production systems at scale. - Proven ability to design and implement end-to-end features independently. - Excellent system design skills, you can reason about APIs, services, data flow, and failure modes. - Strong experience designing data schemas and data models for real product use cases. - Hands-on experience with multiple database types, such as: - Relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) - NoSQL / KV stores (e.g. Redis, Firestore) - Solid backend experience with Node.js and/or Python, including async workflows and integrations. - Strong frontend skills with React / Next.js, and an eye for product polish. - High product intuition, you think in user flows, not just endpoints. - Ability to operate with ambiguity and define problems before solving them. Requirements - Nice to Have: - Experience working on AI-powered or data-heavy products. - Familiarity with cloud-native architecture (GCP, serverless, containers). - Experience designing systems that balance real-time UX with async processing. - Prior startup experience or experience owning large surface-area features. Role Description We’re looking for a video editor who can turn product stories into visuals that inspire. You’ll create product launch videos, social media content, long form & short-form videos that bring OpenArt’s product to life, showcasing features in ways that genuinely excite and connect with users. You’ll collaborate with the marketing and content teams, while staying closely aligned with product and design to stay on top of new releases. You’ll help direct and produce product launch videos in-house combining sharp storytelling, motion, and visual craft to make every feature feel alive and meaningful. What You’ll Do - Edit long & short form, high-quality educational, social videos and product demos. - Concept, script, edit and deliver impactful launch videos that combine strong storytelling, motion, and AI-generated visuals. - Produce visually polished educational content that highlights new features, creative workflows, and user benefits, optimized for reach and engagement across social platforms. - Generate and integrate AI visuals into your content. - Use AI image and video tools to create custom assets and blend them seamlessly into your content to elevate the storytelling. - Collaborate with product and design teams. - Stay up to date on product updates and launches, and translate complex features into clear, inspiring, and visually-driven content. - Develop campaign and launch assets. - Work with marketing/content teams to plan, storyboard, and edit promotional content that amplifies OpenArt’s voice and creative identity. - Continuously evolve our visual storytelling. - Explore new trends, formats, and creative approaches that push how OpenArt shows up visually across all channels. Qualifications - A portfolio showcasing visual storytelling, motion design, and campaign or launch content. - Proficiency in video editing and motion design tools, e.g. After Effects, Premiere/FinalCutPro/Davinci Resolve (+Fusion), CapCut, etc. - Proficiency with AI generation tools like OpenArt or other similar tools. - Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), AffinityPhoto or Canva. - Strong understanding of timing, pacing, and rhythm in video storytelling. - Experience producing or art-directing product or brand launch videos, including working with external creative collaborators. - Ability to translate technical features into compelling creative stories.
