The Vice President (VP) of Marketing & Communications at Nest Health will lead the organization’s strategic efforts to grow and evolve its brand, messaging, and engagement across all audiences: families, payers, investors, employers, and talent. The VP will serve as the steward of Nest’s story as the company scales, shaping how the country understands its differentiated care model and why it matters. The VP will oversee brand strategy, executive and corporate communications, outreach strategy and performance, patient and family marketing, digital presence, product positioning, and employer branding. The VP will build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team responsible for driving growth, trust, engagement, and loyalty across Nest’s markets. The VP is Nest's chief storyteller — responsible for ensuring that one coherent, mission-driven narrative translates powerfully across every audience Nest serves: families, payers, investors, partners, and talent. As Nest scales into new markets and adds new programs, this role ensures the story grows without fracturing In addition to overseeing marketing and communications functions, the VP will directly lead Nest’s Outreach organization, including management of the Director of National Outreach and the broader outreach team composed of National Outreach Specialists and Local Market Outreach Specialists. The VP will be accountable for outreach strategy, organizational design, performance management, operational effectiveness, and shared responsibility for achieving monthly outreach and engagement targets across markets. This role serves as the company’s senior-most steward of brand, narrative, and communications strategy across families, payers, investors, employers, policymakers, and talent audiences. The VP will ensure that all patient-facing and enterprise-facing expressions of the Nest brand remain aligned, differentiated, and mission-driven as the company scales. What will you do? BRAND MARKETING & DIGITAL PRESENCE Build and protect the Nest brand across all audiences and digital channels. Ensure consistency in how Nest looks and sounds, from the first social post a mom sees to the last investor deck slide. This function builds credibility, trust, and familiarity with Nest’s key audiences including families, payers, investors, employers, and potential employees. Responsibilities: - Own Nest’s visual identity, brand voice, and persona development across families, payers, investors, employers, and employees - Oversee website strategy, SEO management, and organic digital growth - Lead social media content and engagement strategy - Develop brand systems and creative assets that reinforce Nest’s mission and values CORPORATE & EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATIONS Tell Nest’s story to high-stakes external audiences such as investors, media, policymakers, employers, and thought leaders. Amplify the voice of the leadership team. This function ensures Nest shows up with clarity and authority in fundraising, earned media, and payer channels while driving cross-functional alignment and strategic narrative. Responsibilities: - Own investor and fundraising messaging and investor-facing brand strategy - Oversee executive communications including CEO LinkedIn, speaking preparation, op-eds, podcasts, and PR - Lead corporate storytelling and press strategy including major company announcements and milestones - Manage awards strategy and visibility planning - Develop and maintain sales enablement and payer marketing materials such as decks, one-pagers, and co-branded assets OUTREACH STRATEGY & PERFORMANCE LEADERSHIP Lead Nest’s outreach organization and strategy to drive scalable family engagement, activation, and enrollment across markets. This function is central to Nest’s growth strategy and requires strong team leadership, operational rigor, and continuous optimization of outreach performance and effectiveness. Responsibilities: - Directly oversee the Director of National Outreach and the broader outreach organization, including National Outreach Specialists and Local Market Outreach Specialists - Own outreach strategy, organizational structure, and operational roadmap across markets - Maintain shared accountability for monthly outreach and engagement targets - Lead ongoing evaluation and optimization of outreach team performance, workflows, tooling, vendor partnerships, and operational efficiency - Partner cross-functionally with Growth, Clinical Ops, Marketing, and Market Leaders to improve outreach effectiveness and member conversion - Oversee outreach messaging frameworks, scripting standards, and communication best practices in partnership with Marketing PATIENT & FAMILY MARKETING Drive execution of patient and family-facing marketing initiatives across digital channels, lifecycle campaigns, and member engagement efforts. The VP will provide strategic oversight while managing a Marketing Manager responsible for day-to-day execution and implementation. Responsibilities: - Lead and develop a Marketing Manager responsible for patient and family-facing marketing execution - Oversee implementation of Nest’s brand across digital, social, website, SEO, and member engagement channels - Guide lifecycle marketing campaigns across SMS, email, mail, and other patient communication touchpoints - Partner closely with Outreach to align member messaging, scripting, and engagement strategies - Support product marketing efforts by translating Nest’s services and care model into clear, family-centered messaging PRODUCT MARKETING Partner with Clinical, Product, and Growth leaders to position Nest’s clinical offerings and care model. Translate complex interventions into clear, outcome-driven messaging that drives credibility, engagement, and conversion across audiences. Responsibilities: - Develop go-to-market narratives for new services and programs - Package outcomes and interventions for payer and investor storytelling - Lead positioning and messaging for product launches across channels - Ensure alignment between patient-facing, payer-facing, and enterprise narratives as Nest evolves STRATEGIC TEAM LEADERSHIP & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL EXECUTION Responsibilities: - Lead high-performing teams across outreach, marketing, brand, and communications functions - Serve as Nest’s senior-most brand, communications, and narrative leader across all key audiences - Maintain oversight of Nest’s brand voice, visual identity, and messaging architecture across the organization - Ensure alignment across patient-facing, payer-facing, investor-facing, employer-facing, and public communications - Oversee creative freelancers, agency partners, and cross-functional contributors - Partner closely with Clinical Ops, Product, Growth, Data, Finance, and People Operations - Plan and advocate for future hiring across design, content, outreach, and digital functions as Nest scales - Define departmental OKRs and track progress against them in collaboration with functional leaders What do you bring to the Nest? - 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, brand, communications, growth, or engagement leadership - 3+ years of experience in navigating growth marketing strategy, owning and creating the marketing strategy in a healthcare startups, health tech, or mission-driven high-growth organizations - 4+ years of direct people management including team growth and agency oversight - Experience in leading the marketing and communications for Medicaid population - Demonstrated experience leading outreach, engagement, field operations, or growth-oriented teams - Strong operational leadership skills including organizational design, vendor management, workflow optimization, and performance management - Demonstrated success in engagement, retention, campaign, and product marketing - Demonstrated ability to use performance data to drive marketing and outreach decisions - Strong track record of storytelling, brand development, and strategic communications - Excellent communicator and cross-functional partner with strong executive presence and C-suite alignment - Deep empathy for Medicaid populations and a passion for health equity - Familiarity with VBC, managed care preferred - Experience with community-based or field marketing preferred What is required (travel & physical requirements)? - This is a remote positions with occasional travel required - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer What does Nest bring to the table? The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is the primary care provider, providing whole-family primary, acute, chronic, and pediatric care to adult and pediatric family members in the home setting. This position requires relocation to New Orleans, Louisiana. The NP is both a health practitioner and an educator, delivering care in a culturally congruent, non-judgmental manner and collaborating closely with a clinical team comprised of physicians, behavioral health counselors, registered dieticians, and a medical assistant upskilled to help support social services navigation when conducting care in the homes. What will you do? - Manage a panel of families as the primary care provider to improve whole-family health through longitudinal primary and preventive care, care management, and care coordination in the home setting and telehealth and virtual care modalities as appropriate (video, phone, SMS) - Practice with the support of a robust interdisciplinary team, including MDs, LCSWs, RNs, psychiatrists, dieticians, and medical assistants - Utilize Nest Health’s electronic health record and care management tools to collect data, document member interactions in the field, organize information, track tasks, and communicate with your team, members, and community resources - Attend daily team huddles and weekly case conferences to advise on physical health needs and establish health goals as part of member’s NAP (Nest Action Plan) - Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases, prescribe and reconcile appropriate medications, and educate patients about their conditions and medications - Order, administer, obtain, and record diagnostic tests - Provide information and assistance through advocacy, navigation support, and education to Nest families on the availability and eligibility of health and social care services. - Participate in outreach efforts to Nest families, including explaining program details to potential families. What do you bring to the Nest? - Completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner accredited program and an active, unrestricted license to practice in Louisiana is required - Experience (at least 2 years) providing clinical services to pediatric (including newborns) and adult patients with both chronic medical and behavioral health conditions, and interest in serving underserved, vulnerable populations - Demonstrated proficiency, prior experience, and/or willingness to train in clinical nursing skills such as blood drawing (venipuncture & phlebotomy), patient assessments and care plan reinforcement for common adult and pediatric chronic conditions such as diabetes, respiratory concerns, hypertension, CHF, depression, etc. - Proven skills, knowledge base, and judgment necessary for independent clinical decision-making and problem-solving - Available to work a full-time, five-day work week and participate in a rotating call schedule that includes occasional evening and weekend days each month - Maintains current CPR certification (BLS) - Experience working as the leader of an interdisciplinary care team preferred - Experience in a startup environment is a plus, but not required - Access to reliable transportation and willingness to comply with all the terms of the Nest Motor Vehicle Safety Policy - Please note, this position will involve educating and encouraging vaccination against COVID-19 What is required (travel & physical requirements)? - This position requires relocation to New Orleans, Louisiana - This is a traveling nurse practitioner role providing service in family homes - Must have a driver’s license, a car (mileage is reimbursed), auto insurance, and the ability to drive to the homes of Nest families and carry portable healthcare supplies - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer - Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times Nest understands that job requirements sometimes exclude people who identify with historically marginalized groups from applying to jobs for which they are qualified. The Fractional Chief of Staff acts as a strategic thought partner and force-multiplier for the CEO and executive leadership team. Primary responsibilities include board and investor management, facilitating executive meetings, high-level -administrative strategic support, leading internal company communications and management of the executive team’s time including in-person events. Preferred would be someone with experience/interest in growth and government relations, who can help to represent Nest externally and serve as a strategist on Nest’s growth pathway. Critically important is a confident communicator and leader, someone with excellent emotional intelligence and a flexible and creative mindset. What you’ll do Executive Leadership Support - Orchestrate strategic time management for the CEO and, on occasion, the executive team - Understand CEO priorities and act as air traffic controller through effective schedule management and plan agendas and ensure materials are available for internal and external meetings that involve the CEO. - Plan and execute strategic conferences, high-level meetings, company-wide events - Provide strategic context and recommendations for executive decision-making - Function as a strategic connector between different organizational initiatives - Lead and structure Executive and Leadership team meetings to ensure clear agendas, productive discussion and alignment on key points, note taking, and timely follow-up with clear action items and owners to ensure that next steps are clearly defined and documented - Assist with complex travel planning and logistics for executives Stakeholder Management - In partnership with the CEO, manage Board of Directors relations, including meeting preparation, communications, and strategic engagement - Oversee investor relations strategy and communications, including drafting updates and managing materials in partnership with Nest’s CFO and CEO. - Support board and investor meetings, developing agendas, creating presentations, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-through - Facilitate productive engagement between executive leadership and key external stakeholders—especially governmental and health plan - Act as a liaison between the CEO and other departments, as well as external contacts Strategic Development and Planning - Lead and drive the development, alignment, and ongoing tracking of OKRs, contributing to strategic planning initiatives and ensuring long-term goals and objectives are clearly defined and achieved. - Conduct research and analysis to support executive decision-making - Serve as a central driver of enterprise-wide initiatives, coordinating across all functional areas and bringing together the appropriate Nest capabilities to ensure success. Operations and Project Management - Ensure careful documentation of discussions and meetings for longitudinal initiatives - Manage special projects that span functional domain, from requirements gathering to early project management - Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to the executive team - Write original materials for the CEO's office and company communications to employees and external platforms - Be aware of and help educate the executive team and CEO on trends in venture capital and government/regulatory sphere that may benefit Nest or impact its operations. Organizational Effectiveness - Assess and support high functioning organizational culture - Develop strategic planning processes that align with organizational objectives - Partner with the People Team to ensure that strategic initiatives remain aligned with organizational mission and values - Identify opportunities to improve cross-functional collaboration and efficiency Government and Growth - Establish and maintain relationships with state and national government officials - Help VP of Growth to build out an effective client management pipeline, assist in growth strategy - Attend functions in support of CEO and VP Growth and support relationship building. What do you bring to the Nest? Education and Experience - Master's degree in public policy, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred - 7+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within a healthcare organization, consulting practice, and/or government agencies or government relations - Startup experience preferred (Prior to Series B) - Experience working directly with senior executives, board members, and investors - Experience preparing executive-level materials (e.g., board decks, investor updates, policy briefs, strategic memos). - Prior exposure to government relations or public policy preferred - Track record of successful project management and operational excellence - Experience with organizational planning processes or strategic road mapping is a plus. • Orchestrate strategic time management for the CEO and, on occasion, the executive team • Understand CEO priorities and act as air traffic controller through effective schedule management and plan agendas and ensure materials are available for internal and external meetings that involve the CEO. • Plan and execute strategic conferences, high-level meetings, company-wide events • Provide strategic context and recommendations for executive decision-making • Function as a strategic connector between different organizational initiatives • Lead and structure Executive and Leadership team meetings to ensure clear agendas, productive discussion and alignment on key points, note taking, and timely follow-up with clear action items and owners to ensure that next steps are clearly defined and documented • Assist with complex travel planning and logistics for executives • In partnership with the CEO, manage Board of Directors relations, including meeting preparation, communications, and strategic engagement • Oversee investor relations strategy and communications, including drafting updates and managing materials in partnership with Nest’s CFO and CEO. • Support board and investor meetings, developing agendas, creating presentations, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-through • Facilitate productive engagement between executive leadership and key external stakeholders—especially governmental and health plan • Act as a liaison between the CEO and other departments, as well as external contacts • Lead and drive the development, alignment, and ongoing tracking of OKRs, contributing to strategic planning initiatives and ensuring long-term goals and objectives are clearly defined and achieved. • Conduct research and analysis to support executive decision-making • Serve as a central driver of enterprise-wide initiatives, coordinating across all functional areas and bringing together the appropriate Nest capabilities to ensure success. • Ensure careful documentation of discussions and meetings for longitudinal initiatives • Manage special projects that span functional domain, from requirements gathering to early project management • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to the executive team • Write original materials for the CEO's office and company communications to employees and external platforms • Be aware of and help educate the executive team and CEO on trends in venture capital and government/regulatory sphere that may benefit Nest or impact its operations. • Assess and support high functioning organizational culture • Develop strategic planning processes that align with organizational objectives • Partner with the People Team to ensure that strategic initiatives remain aligned with organizational mission and values • Identify opportunities to improve cross-functional collaboration and efficiency • Establish and maintain relationships with state and national government officials • Help VP of Growth to build out an effective client management pipeline, assist in growth strategy • Attend functions in support of CEO and VP Growth and support relationship building.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on organizational design, workforce planning, succession strategy, leadership effectiveness, and culture. • Own and execute the enterprise People strategy, budget, and annual operating plan. • Design and lead the structure of the People function, including hiring, developing, and optimizing the People team. • Build and scale a modern HR operating model, including business partnering capabilities, shared services, and scalable People Operations infrastructure. • Provide executive-level counsel with strong presence and the ability to influence across clinical and operational leadership teams. • Own enterprise recruiting strategy in a healthcare services environment where clinicians and care teams are core to delivery and growth. • Ensure scalable, data-driven hiring processes that attract high-performing, diverse, mission-aligned talent across clinical and non-clinical roles. • Lead workforce planning to support new market launches, clinical capacity modeling, and operational expansion. • Develop employer branding and retention strategies positioning Nest as an employer of choice in value-based care. • Coach executives and senior leaders to strengthen accountability, team performance, and cross-functional collaboration. • Architect a best-in-class employee experience from onboarding through offboarding across distributed and clinical teams.
• Analyze data from Nest’s products to inform operational and strategic decisions. • Translate business questions into data-driven insights and recommendations. • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements for new data initiatives. • Document data mappings, transformations, and lineage for product-related datasets. • Ensure consistency and accuracy in data definitions and KPIs. • Work closely with engineering and product teams to align data models with business needs. • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams for data-related projects. • Validate data integrity across Salesforce and other core systems. • Support compliance with HIPAA and internal governance standards.
• Work with Nest senior leadership to define and lead a product and technology strategy vision that enables Nest Health's clinical mission and business model. • Work closely with the CFO who oversees business intelligence to ensure that data platforms, architecture, and pipelines reliably enable timely, accurate reporting and analysis across the enterprise. • Own end-to-end platform strategy across core operational systems including EMR, CRM, ERP, care coordination platforms, analytics platforms, and third-party integrations • Ensure interoperability, data integrity, and scalability across all platforms as Nest expands across states, payers, and care models • Recommend major investment decisions and outline trade-offs across technology domains. • Lead Nest’s strategy for AI enablement and capacity building. • Present product and technology roadmap, progress, and investment needs to board of directors quarterly.
• Manage market panels to ensure patients and families are getting the right care at the right time through identification of high-risk patients, admission/discharge/transfer notifications, claims data, and findings from visits with Nest. Aggregate individual family members’ care plans to understand and create a clear plan for the family. Lead interventions and coach Family Advocates on priority interventions. • Identify social determinants of health and work with interdisciplinary team to support family needs and decrease barriers to care. • Through various modalities (in-person, virtual, or by phone) and based on the patient’s plan of care, the NCM will provide timely, relevant, and clear education to improve patient/family understanding of their conditions and how manage those conditions to improve health outcomes. • Act as clinical liaison for payer-based Care Management programs supporting both programmatic and individual patient needs as indicated. • Ensure accountability and follow up for patient care needs through panel management, case studies, and chart reviews. Support intradisciplinary team members on what they need to execute care plans and best support patients. • Use data and reporting to identify gaps in care or services and conduct patient outreach to facilitate follow-up care or services. • Visit, educate, and serve as a resource to providers on patients with chronic and/or high-risk conditions that could benefit from extra services to provide coordination and linkage to general medical service. • Communicate and coordinate with specialists, mental health and nutrition providers regarding Nest patients as needed to ensure patients are receiving the care they need both inside and out of Nest. • Follow-up with patients within a reasonable amount of time that the information regarding inpatient discharge and ED visits information is made available to Nest Health. • Complete chart review and preparation ahead of visits specifically related to hospital utilization, social determinants of health, HEDIS quality gaps, and immunization needs. • Assist in provider efficiency by pending immunizations due for pediatric patients. • Provide feedback and insights on Nest’s care model for continual refinement to best support patient care and employee experience. • Intermittently support field team on field visits to fully understand and appreciate the in-home care patients and families receive. • Collaborate to engage new patients and support outreach efforts. • Other duties as assigned.
