• supporting with the execution of the first line financial crime risk framework across NatWest Boxed • engaging with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of an effective financial crime policy framework • providing input to the development of new propositions, including new products, services, innovation and the adoption of new technology • identifying and analysing material upstream risks and drafting briefing papers • being a technical specialist in ATE, ABC, AML/CTF, Fraud and Sanctions matters • setting minimum requirements in line with external requirements and within appetite
• Conducting robust reviews of new Mettle account applications, ensuring our customers align with NatWest Boxed's risk appetite • Identifying and mitigating economic crime risks, escalating effectively when needed to protect both our customers and Mettle • Operating diligently within NatWest Group policies and NatWest Boxed established processes, ensuring compliance and consistency • Constantly seeking opportunities to enhance our processes for greater effectiveness and efficiency, helping us scale and improve • Reviewing Know Your Customer (KYC) / Know Your Business (KYB) check reports and application data to prevent application fraud and truly understand the nature and purpose of the account • Reviewing name screening hits for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Sanctions, and Adverse Press, escalating true matches or making well-rationalised discounting decisions • Investigating application fraud and other economic crime-related alerts from internal and external databases, like the Untoward Incident Database (UID) and Cifas • Contacting customers, managing your chats within our Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and communicating clearly and concisely, always embodying Mettle's supportive tone of voice
• conducting feature discoveries working with colleagues across Technology, Product, Risk, Security Operations and other key areas to agree requirements & dependencies • Identify Opportunities for change and be the driving force that brings them to life • Developing and maintaining an appropriately prioritised and detailed backlog of user stories & acceptance criteria in JIRA for implementation by the development team • Working with your Engineering Lead to set objectives for sprint and cycle planning goals, ensuring quality output balancing both Feature development and Tech debt • Representing NatWest Boxed at Payment industry forums (e.g. Faster Payments/Pay.UK) analysing industry and regulatory requirements across our payment infrastructure • Working with key 3rd party providers to ensure critical services are maintained and be the initial point of contact for issues and escalations • Providing incident management support , ensuring PIR actions are complete and that risks are identified and appropriately managed
• Act as a subject matter expert in records and information management • Collaborate with risk and control teams and participate in defining change • Encourage the identification of ideas and driving the delivery of initiatives • Build and leverage relationships with colleagues across the bank and third parties to make sure decisions made are commercially focused
• Designing, reviewing, and completing assurance and bespoke business control testing to ensure compliance with the bank’s regulatory and business policies • Supporting the business in the promotion of an ongoing robust risk and control framework • Collaborating, managing, and acting as the point of escalation for appropriate actions required in addressing control failings • Producing, analysing, and distributing comprehensive and accurate MI to appropriate governance forums and boards • Assisting in the development and improvement of the operating model with an aim to improve effectiveness and efficiency without increased risk
• Develop and implement core infrastructure technologies, products and services against customer and non-functional requirements • Ensure the infrastructure technology complies with security, availability and resilience, performance and capacity • Contributing to and managing the selection, creation and maintenance of infrastructure technologies • Ensuring alignment to the Chief Technology Office (CTO) strategic targets and architecture outcomes • Making sure the required work in the platform backlog contains detailed acceptance criteria • Producing and providing ongoing management of infrastructure roadmaps, detailing lifecycles of the technology • Providing operational support to other infrastructure teams in the event of major incidents or complex technical issues • Building and leveraging relationships with colleagues across the bank
