The NationSwell Studio works with leaders in the impact space to create transformative social impact strategies, provide in-depth research and insights, engage key audiences, and more. The Opportunity: The Strategist, Impact Intelligence sits at the center of NationSwell’s insight engine. This role is responsible for turning various information signals—member input, research, news, and internal learnings—into usable intelligence that informs decisions, strengthens our member product offerings, and helps our team stay ahead of a fast-moving social impact landscape. Reporting to the Senior Research Manager, the Strategist, Impact Intelligence helps power NationSwell’s proprietary knowledge stack: tracking what’s happening in the field, making sense of it, and ensuring insights are translated into compelling content and programming agendas, member products and services, and internal tools. This role blends analysis, synthesis, and systems thinking—and is ideal for someone who likes connecting dots, improving workflows, and making organizations smarter over time. The salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000. Core Responsibilities: Research and Member Deliverables Track trends, new research, media activity, policy shifts, and field dynamics across corporate social impact, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector Perform research, synthesis, and analysis to power NationSwell’s market-facing intelligence product portfolio, like quarterly trend reports, Impact Pulse newsletter, and member surveys Execute custom research sprints for NationSwell members, including desk research, analysis, and report writing Monitor peer and competitor activity to support NationSwell’s ongoing product and value differentiation Internal Knowledge and Process Management Manage Airtable and Salesforce project and knowledge management systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and grow NationSwell’s internal “knowledge hub”, ensuring content is well organized, intuitively accessible, and usable across a range of applications Manage workflows and processes that regularly gather insights from NationSwell member engagement data, events, surveys, and internal team members to support programming and content agenda-setting for the organization Coordinate internal reporting, analysis, and evaluation processes that enable continuous learning and improvement on the NationSwell Insights team Requirements Benefits We know that having a positive team culture is essential to achieving our goals, so we put time and effort into making NationSwell an encouraging, energizing, and exciting place to work. • Lead day‑to‑day project management across assigned accounts, ensuring timelines, workflows, and deliverables are clearly defined, communicated, and executed with precision. • Support on helping project teams prioritize tasks to keep teams focused on timelines and key workstreams, while proactively identifying risks, resolving blockers, and maintaining momentum. • Build and maintain project management systems (e.g., Airtable) that provide transparency into timelines, responsibilities, and progress for both internal teams and clients. • Serve as a point of contact for clients, fostering trusted relationships through clear communication, strategic guidance, and consistent follow‑through. • Ensure delivery of timely updates on project status, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and performance insights, ensuring clients and internal teams feel informed and supported. • Anticipate client needs and partner with internal teams to deliver a seamless, high‑quality experience. • Prepare and synthesize notes from interviews, events, and partner conversations to inform content development and strategic recommendations. • Support the Director, Program Management across projects (including setting up and managing Airtable to keep everyone on track and informed) • Coordinate across cross-functional teams in NationSwell to help deliver on the goals of the projects (e.g. working with the Programming & Events team to coordinate with speakers of events, Membership team to ensure communication on accounts are synced) • Support on billing, resourcing (internal staff & freelancers) and financial reconciliation activities
• Own net-new revenue generation for Institutional Membership and Studio services across assigned segments and territories, working with internal team members to support outbound efforts. • Build, manage, and convert a high-quality pipeline through proactive outreach, network activation, events, insights, and strategic relationship-building. • Develop and execute a clear go-to-market strategy aligned to priority audiences within an assigned territory of corporate social impact and/or private philanthropy. • Leverage and expand an existing executive network to generate warm introductions and high-probability opportunities. • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop compelling narratives and proposals that resonate with senior decision-makers. • Ensure seamless handoff of new accounts to the member servicing team. • Provide strategic leadership and executive sponsorship across member accounts and segments to help account leads provide value, delight, drive renewal, and cross-sell. • Act as a thought partner to account leads, helping deepen executive relationships and surface opportunities for Studio services, sponsorships, and membership upgrades. • Identify and close expansion opportunities including Studio services and membership tier upgrades. • Represent NationSwell in select member and external experiences to support relationship deepening and opportunity development. • Serve as a strategic thought partner to Membership and Growth leadership, bringing market insight and executive feedback into program evolution, content development, and service innovation. • Collaborate with Insights and Events teams to inform research agendas, convenings, and offerings that resonate with corporate social impact and/or philanthropic leaders.
• Own UR, NRR and Growth Goals – Hold ultimate accountability for Unit Renewal and Net Revenue Retention across a portfolio of high-value members. Drive organic growth through expanded engagement, cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and executive referrals, with a clear point of view on commercial prioritization and account potential. • Oversee Strategic Account Servicing - Serve as the primary strategic owner for each account, developing tailored servicing strategies that align NationSwell’s offerings to members’ evolving business, impact, and leadership priorities. Bring structured thinking and sound judgment to identify opportunities, anticipate risks, and guide members toward high-value engagement across membership, Studio, and programming offerings. • Coach and Mentor Member Success partners - Coach and mentor Member Success partners, modeling best-in-class enterprise servicing behaviors, executive presence, and commercial discipline. Establish high standards for account planning, renewal strategy, documentation, and member communication. • Shape Responsive Programming - Partner closely with the Executive Team and cross-functional leaders to inform and refine programming, ensuring experiences are relevant, rigorous, and responsive to member priorities. Translate member insight into actionable input for product, programming, and Studio work. • Facilitate Member Events – Confidently facilitate in-person and virtual convenings with senior leaders. Bring presence, warmth, and discernment to create trusted spaces for dialogue, insight-sharing, and peer connection. • Build Community – Actively foster peer-to-peer connection and collaboration across the NationSwell community, helping members build meaningful relationships that extend beyond individual events or programs.
• Deliver a high-quality Institutional Member experience across a portfolio of accounts, in close partnership with Executive Sponsors. • Support renewal and expansion efforts by tracking and executing on engagement and value-driven activities, identifying opportunities, and helping execute renewal and upsell strategies to meet or exceed unit and revenue retention goals. • Develop a strong understanding of each member’s priorities and impact goals, and help translate those needs into concrete engagement across NationSwell’s programming, insights, and experiences. • Draft polished member communications, including emails, decks, and follow-up materials. • Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records for contacts, engagement activity, and opportunities. • Proactively manage scheduling and coordination across accounts. • Identify opportunities to deepen engagement or expand impact within member accounts, and support the preparation of MOUs, proposals, renewals, and project documentation. • Stay informed on key trends in social impact, philanthropy, and CSR.
