Role Description We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team. You will design and build modern cloud data platforms and pipelines that turn raw data into reliable, analytics-ready solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. - Proficient data engineering specialist with strong skills in developing complex, end-to-end data solutions - Detail-oriented with a structured approach to data modeling, pipeline development, and documentation - Responsible, well-organized, and cooperative, comfortable working both independently and in cross-functional teams - Good at problem-solving, communication, and building strong client relationships Responsibilities - Implementing and maintaining data platforms in Databricks and Microsoft Fabric - Designing and developing data lakes based on the medallion architecture and dimensional data models - Building and optimizing pipelines for data ingestion, load, and transformation (ETL/ELT) - Developing and maintaining semantic models based on business user requirements - Ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability across the data platform Experience - 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence - Development of BI/data solutions using cloud data technologies, in particular Microsoft Azure services, as well as on-premises technologies such as the Microsoft SQL Server BI platform (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) - Designing and implementing Data Warehouses or Lakehouses and dimensional data models - Strong knowledge of SQL and proficiency in DAX; development of tabular/semantic models (Azure Analysis Services, Power BI / Microsoft Fabric) - Development of ETL/ELT pipelines (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and/or Azure Data Factory) - Performance tuning of databases, complex queries, and ETL packages - Analysis of business requirements, creating mapping documents, and user stories - Python and CI/CD for BI solutions using Azure DevOps is a plus - Relevant Databricks and Microsoft Fabric certifications are a plus - Cost optimization of cloud data platforms is a plus - Experience working with Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, MCP servers) in the data engineering area is a plus Benefits - Competitive salary - Minimum 22 days of vacation per year - Great office space with remote work option - Skilled and experienced team - Opportunity to learn and grow - Work on exciting projects - Flexible working hours and great work-life balance - Career development opportunities Company Description Moberg is a Croatian-Icelandic company focused on building innovative digital solutions across industries including fintech, e-commerce, and tourism. Role Description We are looking for an experienced BI Analyst to join our Data and Analytics team on a long-term collaboration basis.
