Role Description The Financial Assistant III in Materials Science & Engineering (DMSE) will provide complex and diverse financial support for the day-to-day operations of faculty labs. - Serve as primary departmental owner of the Financial Review and Control (FRC) process and administration related to DMSE Service centers - Perform financial activities for general, fund, and research accounts for faculty and their labs - Serve as a resource for faculty, postdocs, and students on financial transactions - Provide backup support to financial staff during absences - Exercise confidentiality of classified information based on office protocols - Perform other administrative, financial, and clerical duties as necessary Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent - A minimum of five years of financial or accounting experience - Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills - Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Attention to detail and excellent follow-through - Strong accounting skills - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders with limited supervision Requirements - Bachelor’s degree (preferred) - Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and university accounting and purchasing systems (preferred) - Proficiency with MIT’s financial software, i.e., SAP and Cognos (preferred) Benefits - This position is fully remote

Role Description The IT Support Specialist in the Escalations team identifies emerging and complex IT issues and problems, and facilitates the resolution of undocumented issues through investigation, diagnosis, and troubleshooting. - Serves as a resource for multi-disciplinary projects within IS&T - Collaborates with cross-functional teams - Assists community members with AI platforms - Provides guidance on compliant use aligned with Institute policies - Supports assessments of prospective AI solutions Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree - Minimum of five years of experience in IT support, information systems, or another related field Requirements - Ability to troubleshoot Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems - Comfortable with the command line-interface - Experience with learning management systems - Experience with MS O365 and Exchange administration support - Experience providing SaaS administration support - Experience working with a ticketing management system Company Description
