Title: Associate Digital Account Manager, Hoopla Digital Location: Holland, OH, US Regular Full-Time Professionals-5 Salary Range:$45,000.00 To $55,000.00 Annually Job Description: For local candidates who live within 45 miles of our Holland, OH headquarters, this role is hybrid after 60-day orientation period. - For candidates outside of local area, this role would be primarily remote, but must be open to travel to HQ as required by the manager. - Must live in the following states to be considered: Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Texas, Colorado, Montana, Rhode Island, Florida, Massachusetts, Nevada. Position Summary The Associate Vendor Account Manager supports the evolution and growth of Hoopla Digital’s content catalog and is the point person for managing secondary and emerging digital vendors. This position is responsible for managing ongoing positive relationships with external digital content vendors and digital vendor communications across the enterprise as related to audiobooks, ebooks, music, comics and graphic novels, and/or video. This includes account relationship management and commitment to ongoing growth initiatives. Success in this position will include advocating for Hoopla’s strategic content objectives as well as understanding vendor needs to create win-win scenarios for long-lasting and mutually beneficial vendor relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has an interest in managing video and tv account relationships for a digital streaming platform and has an interest in serving public libraries and their patrons. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this position successfully, an individual must fulfill the knowledge, skill, and/or ability requirements listed below. - Responsible for day-to-day management of vendor accounts with an eye toward increasing sales, margin, and catalog size for secondary tv and movie related accounts. - Work effectively with entertainment professionals in various settings including remote and in-person meetings and business reviews. - Ongoing communications with the Director regarding business challenges and opportunities with vendor accounts. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date details in the systems and tools designed to manage the business. - Work collaboratively with Analytics and measure and increase vendor value based on strategic KPI’s put into place by leadership. - Collaborate with internal marketing teams and external vendor partners to execute initiatives that drive sales and increase Hoopla value to vendors, libraries and Hoopla. - Troubleshoot as necessary to resolve vendor issues. - Partner with Ops team to ensure an efficient delivery workflow and problem solve any pending partner items. - Support the Digital Acquisitions team in commitment to improve processes, workflows, and best practices for the business. - Actively look for ways to add value to vendor relationships while advocating Hoopla’s objectives. - Represent Midwest Tape/Hoopla in a professional manner at all times. Skills: - Curiosity and passion around media and consumer/library patron engagement and general entertainment industry trends. - Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills – in-person and virtual. - Ability to think quickly and present Hoopla in a highly professional manner. - Analytical/decision-making and problem-solving skills. - Relationship management. - Intermediate Computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 with particular emphasis on Excel, and PowerPoint. - Collaborative nature and willingness to work with diverse individuals. - Must be detail and goal-oriented, thoughtful, and have excellent organization and follow-up skills. - Must be able to work independently while being an active member of various teams. - Knowledge of the entertainment and publishing industries, including literature, comic and graphic novels, music, videos, and pop culture. - Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills. - Can-do positive attitude and resourceful. Preferred Education Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in business, literature, media arts, marketing, related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred Experience: - 2 years of experience in purchasing, acquisitions, distribution, sales, or marketing. - Media or publishing experience preferred. - Salesforce and Tableau experience preferred. Role Description This opportunity is for an independent contractor providing sales services to Midwest Tape & Hoopla Digital. The contractor will be responsible for developing relationships with current and prospective public library customers and promoting Midwest Tape products, Hoopla Digital, and value‑added services. The contractor will independently plan and execute sales activities, manage customer engagement, and present solutions aligned to library needs. This engagement requires strong knowledge of professional sales practices, the public library landscape, and solution‑based selling. Scope of Services - Promote and expand Midwest Tape products, Hoopla Digital, and related services - Engage with library staff at various levels to understand needs and present appropriate solutions - Conduct sales meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions both in person and virtually - Independently schedule outreach, appointments, follow‑ups, and business development activities - Manage all logistics related to business travel, including booking and itineraries - Attend assigned conferences, trade shows, and industry events - Track opportunities, account activity, and overall sales performance - Submit agreed‑upon reports, forecasts, and activity summaries in a timely manner - Maintain detailed call, meeting, and opportunity notes in the designated CRM system - Remain informed on competitive offerings, pricing, and public library industry trends - Meet or exceed agreed‑upon sales targets outlined in the contractor agreement Qualifications - Demonstrated success in outside or field‑based sales engagements - Strong communication and presentation skills in one‑to‑one and group settings - Excellent organizational and time‑management skills - Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage work autonomously - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint - Experience working with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of professional sales experience with account management responsibility - Experience selling to public libraries or within the library, education, or public sector space preferred - Familiarity with digital content platforms, SaaS solutions, or subscription‑based services is an asset Travel Requirements - Ability to travel overnight approximately 40–60% of the time, including occasional weekends - Ability to attend in‑person meetings, conferences, presentations, and training sessions - Ability to travel internationally to the United States as required, including periodic visits to Midwest Tape’s U.S. headquarters - A valid passport is required to fulfill the travel requirements of this engagement Compensation CAD $50-$70 per hour, based on experience and agreed‑upon scope of services. This range represents the expected compensation for this contract engagement and may be adjusted based on final contract terms. The contractor will operate as a self‑employed individual or business entity and is responsible for all applicable taxes, remittances, insurance, and statutory obligations under Canadian and provincial law.
