Role Description In the role of Field Applications Engineer for the Northeast you will work with the Americas sales team to technically differentiate Mersen to drive specification position and advance the sales process. Support conversions, specification development, new product launch and other pre-sale efforts. Focus on strategically significant accounts and opportunities in assigned territory. Complements the sales process by serving as the technical solution expert on opportunities. Keep abreast and up to date on current technologies, techniques and processes for Mersen’s product offering and applications. Builds relationships with key account stakeholders on a technical level. Provides technical linkage between the customer and Mersen. This is a fully remote position based out of MA, MD, NH, CT or NY. Main Accountabilities - Maintains high level of technical proficiency, application and market knowledge - Technically supports sales process for assigned opportunities and accounts - Build and sustain strong relationships with customers and partners in support of opportunities, own all technical aspects and provide technical guidance - Highly engage in PAC process - Translate key learnings and insight from customers into innovation/ideas for Mersen - Support new product launch - Support trade shows and seminars via technical hands on and presentations - Self motivated and willing to learn and embrace new technology via self teaching as well as formal training - Ability to travel as needed, at times with limited notice, by air or car up to 50% - Related duties as required Qualifications - Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or higher degree preferred - Excellent communicator of technical topics and subjects to a technical and non-technical audience including technical presentations to a large number of people - Technically proficient in products and applications - High degree of learning agility to stay abreast of new products, technology and applications - Solid interpersonal skills and ability to interact with technical counterparts - Highly innovative, out of the box thinker capable of translating field learning to new product ideas - Ability to travel as needed, at times with limited notice, by air or car Requirements - The expected salary for this position is between $100,000 and $125,000 and will be eligible for incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, locations, skills, training, and experience. Role Description The Sales Territory Manager - Electrical Motors will be responsible for sales success within the designated market or territory, which includes MI, OH, WV, MD, DC, DE, CT, RI, VT, ME, NY, NJ, PA, and NH. - Manage and/or create a sales strategy with corresponding actions to service the existing customer portfolio while further developing the territory for profitable growth. - Achieve revenue targets, margin projections, and sales quotas while increasing market share. - Foster and nurture existing customer relationships for growth expectations. - Collect technical data and perform initial analysis of customer processes in support of business initiatives. - Perform routine testing and/or diagnostics for customer-based solutions and innovations. - Engage in hands-on work with customer solutions and products; interpret drawings, specifications, or schematics. - Seek and develop new business, add-on business, and prospects through networking, cold calling, and other prospecting methods. - Track, follow-up, and monitor all leads and sales opportunities in a timely manner. - Respond to Requests for Quotes, Requests for Pricing, Requests for Information, and other procurement contracts within expected time frames and deadlines. - Travel extensively within a 15-state region, including trade shows and other business events. - Work cohesively and interface with internal resources, customer service, technical, R&D, and operations. - If necessary, manage, motivate, and facilitate the success of an independent rep network within the territory. - Perform all other sales-related or management assigned duties pertaining to business operations. Qualifications - 5+ years of technical outside sales experience; electrical and motors helpful; working with OEMs a plus. - Computer savvy; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM-Salesforce; JDE experience is a plus. - Dynamic personality, consistent and persistent, proactive and reactive when necessary, team player. - Ability to work independently with strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and reporting skills. - Excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language. - Tactful, diplomatic, and customer-focused with a strong sense of urgency. Requirements - Education: Undergraduate - Associate's, Bachelor's, or equivalent extensive experience. - Professional experience required: > 10 years.
