Role Description LunaJoy is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who specializes in women’s mental health and can provide both medication management and psychotherapy. In this role, you will have the autonomy to manage a caseload of patients, utilizing evidence-based approaches to support women across reproductive and postpartum stages. - Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for women across various life stages. - Provide ongoing medication management, including initiation, monitoring, and adjusting psychotropic medications. - Offer psychotherapy and counseling utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities. - Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and develop personalized treatment plans. - Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options. - Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards. - Facilitate referrals to other mental health services and resources as necessary. - Participate in regular case consultations and supervision meetings. Qualifications - Active Nurse Practitioner license with a specialty in Psychiatry (PMHNP-BC), in good standing. - Licensed to practice in one or more of the following states: FL, TX, NC, GA, NJ, PA, IL, VA, DC, and MD. - Minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychiatric care and therapy, with a focus on women’s mental health. - Proficiency in medication management, with an emphasis on psychopharmacology for women. - Experience providing psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, IPT, or other evidence-based modalities). - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote care team. - Commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity in caring for a diverse patient population.
