Role Description Jencap is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist focused on candidate sourcing, pipeline development, and candidate engagement to support hiring across our growing insurance brokerage organization. This role is ideal for a recruiter who thrives on finding and engaging talent, building relationships, and delivering a high-quality, responsive candidate experience. You will play a critical role in developing targeted talent pipelines across underwriting, brokerage, and insurance operations roles, while acting as a key ambassador for Jencap in the market. This position will work remotely or in one of the Jencap offices. Responsibilities - Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development - Proactively source and identify candidates for roles across underwriting, brokerage, and insurance operations. - Build and maintain active talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill positions. - Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse CRM, industry networks, and niche job boards. - Develop targeted sourcing strategies aligned to specific insurance verticals and business units. - Track and manage candidate activity to ensure consistent pipeline movement. - Candidate Engagement & Communication - Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the early hiring process. - Deliver timely, professional, and high-touch communication across all candidate interactions. - Lead outreach campaigns, follow-ups, and engagement efforts to maintain candidate interest. - Ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience aligned with Jencap’s brand. - Provide clear guidance to candidates on process, expectations, and timelines. - Recruiting Process Support - Partner with TA team members and hiring managers to support recruiting workflows. - Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate logistics as needed. - Assist with offer coordination and pre-employment communications. - Ensure accurate and timely updates within Greenhouse ATS/CRM. - Market Intelligence & Branding - Maintain knowledge of insurance talent trends and competitor activity. - Provide insight on candidate availability, compensation expectations, and sourcing challenges. - Support employer branding efforts through outreach messaging and candidate interactions. - Contribute to early career and entry-level pipeline initiatives where applicable. - Talent Acquisition Operations Support - Support job postings, pipeline tracking, and reporting within Greenhouse. - Maintain clean and organized candidate data and workflows. - Assist with CRM campaigns and talent segmentation strategies. - Partner with TA leadership on process improvement and sourcing effectiveness. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required. - 2–4+ years of experience in sourcing, recruiting, or talent coordination. - Strong experience with sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse or CRM/ATS platforms). - Experience in insurance, financial services, or professional services recruiting preferred. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Strong organizational and follow-through capabilities. - Ability to manage multiple pipelines and prioritize effectively. - Customer-focused mindset with a passion for candidate experience. Role Description The Senior Underwriter – Medical Stop Loss is responsible for the evaluation, risk assessment, pricing, and underwriting of stop loss insurance for self-funded employer groups. The ideal candidate brings strong stop loss market expertise, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to develop trusted relationships with brokers, consultants, TPAs, and internal stakeholders. - Underwrite new and renewal stop loss business in accordance with underwriting guidelines, risk appetite, and profitability targets - Analyze complex self-funded employer group data, including claims experience, demographics, plan design, and funding structures - Partner closely with the Chief Underwriting Officer to develop customized underwriting and pricing solutions - Establish and maintain strong relationships with brokers, consultants, TPAs, and clients; participate in finalist presentations and renewal discussions as needed - Monitor portfolio performance and support profitable growth initiatives - Contribute to underwriting process improvements, product enhancements, and best-practice initiatives Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, actuarial science, or a related field required; advanced degree or professional designations (e.g., CEBS, FLMI, ASA) preferred - 5–10 years of experience underwriting stop loss insurance for self-funded employer groups - Strong knowledge of stop loss insurance products, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements - Proven ability to make sound risk decisions and contribute to profitable portfolio performance - Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills - Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication abilities - Proficiency in underwriting systems, analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Requirements - The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. - Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
