Title: Controller Location: Remote, , US, 20006 ( Fully Remote ) Accounting Full-Time Unknown Job Description: Jefferson is seeking a Controller. This role will be fully remote. This position requires that applicants reside in the United States and have legal authorization to work in the U.S. Applicants must maintain U.S. residency for the duration of their employment The annual salary range for this position is $150,000.00-$175,000.00. The annual salary range is negotiable. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Controller reports to the Senior Vice President of Finance & Accounting and is responsible for overseeing accounting operations of the organization. This includes routine accounting functions, production of periodic financial reports, operation of the JAMIS system, maintenance of accounting records, and ensuring a comprehensive set of internal controls. The Controller leads the accounting function to ensure the production of timely and accurate financial results that comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This role supports organizational financial planning and provides financial insight to senior management. The position supervises the accounting staff and collaborates with departments across the organization as needed to support financial management and operational effectiveness. The successful candidate must have a thorough, working knowledge of the cost accounting principles for government contractors operating under contracts issued by GSA, and other government agencies. The candidate should have experience with DCAA or other agency auditors, external CPAs, and the government audit process. Specific Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including setting and achieving the department's goals and objectives - Provide hands-on direction to AP, Payroll, AR, Billing, and GL transactions - Responsible for daily and weekly banking and cash management - Facilitate monthly close process and prepare accurate and timely financial statements - Update accounting policies and procedures, as needed - Oversee project accounting processes including contract setup, revenue recognition, project cost monitoring, and contract closeout - Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and contract terms for cost-plus, time-and-materials, and fixed-price contracts - Work with IT to resolve/manage any JAMIS related issues, upgrades, and system optimization - Collaborate with HR to coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, multi-state business and tax registrations, and other accounting related matters - Partner with the FP&A Specialist in the development of annual company-wide budget, monthly rolling forecast, and variance analysis of actual results to budget/forecast - Monitor indirect rate calculations, and prepare annual incurred cost submission - Provide briefings and project status reports to management; respond to budgetary data calls - Provide financial analyses, and assist with pricing decisions - Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors and financial institutions - Ensure accounting systems, policies, and procedures remain compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) where applicable, and DCAA audit requirements - Maintain audit-ready financial records and internal controls to support government and external audits - Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings - Participate in special projects and other duties as needed. - Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field - 10-15 years' experience to include 8+ years of supervisory experience - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Strong leadership skills and ability to delegate effectively. - Extensive knowledge of federal government contracting, ideally in a services environment - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data to financial and non-financial senior-level stakeholders. - Flexible and responsive; willing and able to roll up sleeves and dig in to solve complex problems - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Strongly preferred: - C.P.A. or comparable graduate degree - Experience using JAMIS Prime ERP Benefit Overview: - Health Benefits; Medical, Dental, Vision - Retirement Plan Match - Competitive Annual Leave Package - Education Reimbursement - Basic and Voluntary Life Insurance - Disability Insurance - Cafeteria Plan - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Domestic and Global Health Insurance - Floating Holidays - Wellness Program

The Consultant I provides professional support for CCAM and TPM program management activities, assisting with research, analysis, documentation, and development of deliverables that support transportation coordination, program oversight, and technical assistance efforts.
