Role Description Supervise and support the development of designated Maximize the Gift team members to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and goals. Serve as the clinical expert for organ maximization, donor suitability, and donor management processes. Provide guidance and oversight to ensure team members consistently apply best practices and comply with all industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies. Stay current with national trends, research, and best practices in donation and transplantation; analyze internal performance data against national benchmarks; and recommend or implement process improvements to optimize outcomes and organizational success. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth within the team. Essential Functions and Performance Responsibilities - Supervise the selection, training, development, and performance of Organ AOC/Organ Resource Supervisor team members to retain a motivated professional workforce for IDN. - Establish and communicate job responsibilities, manage performance expectations and outcomes to maintain optimal operational performance utilizing Studer Principles. - Oversee daily clinical operations, participate in high level of process improvement, change management, and deviation management activities. - Create and maintain the ORS schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage, including managing shift rotations, addressing time-off requests, and adjusting for weekends, holidays, and peak times. - Lead case reviews and organize meetings with Medical Directors, where data is reviewed, shared, and analyzed. - Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement process improvements. - Ensure compliance with CMS, AOPO, UNOS/OPTN, OSHA, IDPH, federal and state employment and other regulations, and IDN policies through annual reviews, department audits, and staying current on industry standards and regulations. - Assist the Director with managing the operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the department. - Participate in organizational strategic planning and assist with development of work system action plans and process improvement opportunities to meet organizational goals. - Manage specific work process operational needs and self-schedule 20% in designated staff role. Participate in leader on call coverage. - Perform other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications - Minimum of 4-year degree in health care field. - A minimum of three years’ experience as a donation/procurement/recovery/allocation coordinator. - Three years’ experience in a leadership role preferred. - CPTC certification preferred or within one year of employment. - Ability to provide constructive feedback with proven results. - Advanced Cardiac Life Support & Pediatric Advanced Life support required. Prefer Fundamentals of Critical Care Support, Trauma Nurse Critical Care certification. Role Description The Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure including servers, network systems, storage, firewalls, switches, endpoint devices, and cloud-based services. This role serves as a key member of the IT team requiring a reliable, detail-oriented professional who can ensure the stability, security, and performance of all systems while supporting the organization’s operational needs and driving successful execution of IT initiatives. Essential Functions and Performance Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee enterprise IT initiatives, including system upgrades, infrastructure migrations, and disaster recovery planning, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. - Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance; diagnose and resolve complex technical issues; and implement updates, patches, and enhancements to maintain system integrity and security. - Administer and optimize cloud-based platforms, including Microsoft 365, Azure AD, SharePoint, and related integrations. - Provide end-to-end project management, including scope development, planning, resource coordination, risk mitigation, and timely delivery of technology solutions within established timelines and budgets. - Collaborate with key stakeholders to define business requirements, develop technical solutions, track progress, and communicate status throughout the project lifecycle. - Provide level two technical support to end users ensuring timely resolution of issues and high quality support. - Develop, maintain, and continuously improve technical documentation and system architecture to ensure operational continuity and compliance. - Manage vendor relationships, including evaluation, performance, and service-level oversight. - Design and deliver training to staff on new technologies, system enhancements, and best practices to support adoption and efficient use. - Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing work, recommend system improvements, and implement technology strategies that support organizational needs. - Maintain confidentiality. - Work a 24/7/365 on call rotation. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in support desk or systems administrator roles. - Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms. - Familiarity with cloud platforms, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and others. - Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred). - Basic understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN (preferred). - Experience with backup and disaster recovery processes (preferred). - Familiarity with endpoint management and security tools (preferred). - Experience in a nonprofit or healthcare environment (preferred). - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications (preferred). - Exposure to compliance frameworks such as NIST 800‑171 or HIPAA (preferred). Daily activities include collaboration with IDN clinical team members, family members, and hospital and clinical partners. This position completes all necessary paperwork associated with donation as well as intake medical information regarding the potential donor. Essential Functions and Performance Responsibilities - Establish rapport with potential donor families while providing support during the donation conversation and paperwork process. - Ensure accurate completion of required paperwork, including medical questionnaire and authorization or disclosure form. - Ensure effective and respectful communication and collaboration with hospital staff and other IDN team members. - Champion organizational efforts to ensure excellence in continuum of care for donor families. - Serve as an organizational expert regarding family discussions and support during the donation conversation. - Participate in process improvement and quality assurance activities. Qualifications - Requires a minimum two-year degree in the areas of Social Services, Psychology, Nursing, or other healthcare related field. - Equivalent work experience will be considered with family dynamics that include issues involving death, dying, grief or loss is preferred. - Crisis management experience preferred. - Experience in healthcare setting utilizing medical terminology preferred. Daily activities include collaboration with donor hospital staff, medical examiners, and other essential stakeholders. - Support the donation process by triaging the medical evaluation of all vented and non-vented referrals. - Complete an effective medical evaluation of eye referrals. - Provide the Organ Resource Supervisor with a thorough organ chart review for donor suitability, determination, and medical management. - Collaborate with the Referral Response Coordinator to manage updates in changing medical information. - Ensure effective verbal and written communication and collaboration with hospital staff, physicians, related donation agencies, and other Iowa Donor Network team members to maximize organ and tissue donation. - Participate in process improvement and quality assurance activities. - Record and submit referral and case data for process improvement analysis and industry standards. Qualifications - A combination of education and equivalent field experience in a clinical setting (i.e., Licensed RN, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist, or another applicable field). - Two-year degree or equivalent experience in a hospital setting required. - Experience with organ, tissue, or eye donation preferred.
