• Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, concept papers, reports, and other funding requests for foundation, corporate, state, federal, and cooperative agreement opportunities. • Translate program concepts, community impact, organizational priorities, and funder requirements into persuasive, funder-centered narratives. • Integrate Hispanic Access’s Theory of Change, brand language, strategic priorities, and impact data into all proposal materials. • Produce high-quality, review-ready drafts with strong attention to detail, clarity, and compliance. • Ensure all submissions are accurate, complete, and submitted on time. • Analyze funding opportunities, RFPs, and funder priorities to assess alignment and competitiveness. • Develop funding briefs that summarize opportunity fit, key requirements, risks, and strategic recommendations. • Tailor proposal language, framing, outcomes, and impact narratives to reflect funder priorities and interests. • Recommend approaches that strengthen proposal competitiveness, including alignment, outcomes measurement, return on investment, and differentiation. • Participate in proposal debriefs and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen future submissions. • Research and identify funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities and programmatic goals. • Monitor trends in philanthropy, public funding, and nonprofit fundraising to identify emerging opportunities and risks. • Support opportunity qualification and prioritization through research and analysis. • Maintain awareness of evolving grant writing best practices, funder expectations, and sector trends. • Collaborate with Program Directors, Communications, Development, and Leadership throughout proposal development. • Coordinate proposal timelines, content collection, supporting materials, and internal review processes. • Facilitate information gathering to ensure proposals accurately reflect program goals, outcomes, implementation plans, and organizational priorities. • Work with program and finance staff to develop proposal budgets and supporting materials that align with project design, funder requirements, and proposal narratives. • Maintain organized proposal files, templates, and supporting documentation. • Leverage AI tools, research platforms, and emerging technologies to improve productivity, proposal quality, and organizational learning. • Continuously strengthen grant writing, storytelling, and proposal development skills. • Recommend improvements to proposal development processes, tools, templates, and workflows. • Share relevant trends, insights, and best practices with colleagues.

Role Description The Hispanic Access Foundation is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Foundation Relations Officer to lead the cultivation, growth, and stewardship of institutional foundation partnerships that advance our mission and long-term impact. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role is externally focused and relationship-centered, with responsibility for: - Building trust with institutional donors - Converting outreach into meetings - Advancing prospects through the donor journey - Deepening multi-year partnerships across our program areas The Foundation Relations Officer serves as a connector—translating program strategy and outcomes into compelling investment opportunities—while partnering closely with program leaders, finance, communications, and executive leadership to ensure strong alignment, follow-through, and donor satisfaction.
