Role Description This full-time position will be a part of a Sales Development Program designed to provide you with the tools to grow into an Associate Licensing Director role in 18-24 months. - Sales Development Representatives (SDR) will be responsible for generating sales opportunities and building sales pipeline with prospective customers at GMR. - This role is designed to serve as a liaison between the prospects and sellers. - One week of in-person training will be provided in Los Angeles, CA. Location: This is a 100% remote role. Applicants must be in Phoenix, AZ; Nashville, TN; or Southern California to be considered for this role. What You’ll Do - Lead Generation: Drive lead generation activities for the sales team by cultivating high-quality opportunities. - Outreach: Engage with prospective customers through both cold and warm outreach, utilizing calls, emails, and social media. - Identification: Act as the initial point of contact to identify key decision makers and influencers within prospective organizations. - Introduction and Qualification: Engage with prospects to introduce GMR, understand their business and music usage, and provide essential context on purchasing a license. - Marketing Campaigns: Qualify and develop leads from marketing campaigns, utilizing social media and other channels to identify potential customers' music usage during the sales process. - Meeting Scheduling: Arrange and schedule meetings with Licensing Directors to pitch and close deals. - CRM Management: Effectively manage all sales activities, notes, opportunities, and account information in Salesforce.com. - Pipeline Management: Efficiently manage the prospecting pipeline to ensure maximum efficiency and touchpoints per lead. - Sales Enablement: Follow sales scripts and leverage defined outreach cadences and sequences using sales engagement software such as Outreach.io. - Develop Sales Skills: Learn key sales skills to prepare successful SDRs to move into more senior sales roles at the company. Qualifications - Minimum of 1+ years of prior experience in a professional work environment, with a preference for sales-related roles or heavy phone experience. - Strong phone and email skills, with the ability to handle a high volume of calls per day. - Proficient in navigating the internet and social media. - Willingness to adapt and learn, coupled with a highly coachable and flexible mindset. - Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred. Requirements - Bonus if you have experience working in a remote environment. - Familiarity with Outreach.io and Salesforce.com. - Experience using AI tools (e.g., generative AI, sales automation, or conversation intelligence platforms) to improve prospecting, personalizing outreach, prioritize leads, or increase sales efficiency. Join us as a Licensing Sales Manager, where you’ll play a key role in helping businesses obtain the necessary music licenses while contributing to the livelihood of world-class songwriters. In this full-cycle B2B sales role, you’ll prospect, qualify, and secure performance licenses in a wide variety of industries, including nightlife, restaurants, hotels, fitness, retail, and more. If you’re a results-driven Account Executive (or similar) with solid outbound sales experience and a passion for educating and influencing, we want to hear from you. One week of in-person training will be provided in Los Angeles, CA. What You’ll Do - Own and manage a large outbound sales pipeline (400+ active prospects) across multiple industries - Consistently exceed sales and licensing targets on a monthly and quarterly basis - Drive outbound communication via phone, email, and other channels to convert leads into licensees - Negotiate and close licensing agreements that balance compliance and customer needs - Use tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and Docusign to manage pipeline, communications, and reporting - Become an expert in copyright and performance rights and educate prospects on their responsibilities - Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, and licensing operations to ensure smooth client onboarding and resolution of account issues Qualifications - 2+ years of full-cycle outbound B2B sales experience - Must have proven ability to exceed quotas in a high-volume sales environment - Outstanding communication, listening, and negotiation skills - Exceptional organizational skills and self-discipline, in a remote setting - A drive to learn and grow, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset - A passion for music and songwriters Requirements - Experience in licensing, compliance sales, or IP-based industries (bonus) - Familiarity with copyright law, performance rights, or the music business (bonus) - Hands-on experience with Salesforce, email marketing platforms, and Microsoft Office (bonus) - Experience using AI tools (e.g., generative AI, sales automation, or conversation intelligence platforms) to improve prospecting, personalizing outreach, prioritize leads, or increase sales efficiency (bonus) Benefits - Base Salary: $80,000 - Commission Plan and Performance Bonus - 100% Remote Work - 100% employer paid Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and more) eligible for spouse/partner & dependents - Flexible Time Off - A mission-driven team with a love for music and innovation Additional Information We are a fully vaccinated workforce.
