Role Description Fragomen, an AMLaw 100 Firm and the leading global immigration services provider, is strengthening its enterprise data foundation to enable consistent client delivery, trusted reporting, and scalable automation. We are seeking a senior level leader to advance our Master and Reference Data Management (MDM/RDM) program, with a particular focus on the Service Catalog that defines how we deliver services to clients. As a Senior Business Data Governance Analyst, you will manage the Service Catalog and related master and reference data as governed enterprise data products—establishing standards, enabling stewardship workflows, improving data quality, and driving adoption across regions and teams. Success means a Service Catalog that is trusted, consistently used, and fit for purpose across operations, analytics, and automation. - Evolve our Service Catalog as a product - Assist in defining the catalog’s structure (taxonomy, hierarchy), business definitions, attributes, and metadata - Establish lifecycle management: intake → definition → review/approval → publish → change control/versioning → retirement - Ensure the catalog supports key downstream needs (client delivery, reporting, financial/operational views, automation/AI) - Advance Fragomen’s MDM/RDM program - Drive onboarding and governance for master/reference domains - Define standards for identifiers, naming conventions, hierarchies, relationships, code sets, and controlled vocabularies - Build repeatable operating mechanisms so domains stay healthy and scalable over time - Run stewardship and decision-making at scale - Establish clear roles (data owners, stewards), RACI, decision rights, SLAs, and escalation paths - Lead working sessions and forums to resolve definition disputes, approve changes, and manage backlog/priorities - Partner across business, product, and technology teams to embed stewardship into day-to-day work - Improve data quality within the MDM/RDM domains - Define and track quality KPIs for master/reference data (e.g., completeness, validity, uniqueness, duplication, hierarchy integrity) - Lead issue triage and root-cause remediation with accountable owners - Help shift from reactive clean-up to preventative controls (validation rules, standardized intake, monitoring) - Enable analytics, automation, and integration - Ensure master/reference data is consistent across systems and supports integration patterns and enterprise modeling - Collaborate with data platform and product teams to align the Service Catalog to the enterprise data model, glossary, and metadata tooling - Identify high-value use cases unlocked by trusted service master/reference data and help drive them to delivery Qualifications - 7+ years leading or delivering enterprise data initiatives, with meaningful depth in MDM, reference data and/or data governance operating models - Strong understanding of core MDM/RDM concepts: domain onboarding, stewardship workflows, reference data management, hierarchies, change control/versioning, and quality controls - Demonstrated ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders (operations, regional leaders, product, IT, data teams) and drive adoption and not just documentation - Ability to translate ambiguity into decisions: crisp definitions, clear standards, and a pragmatic roadmap - Comfort working with metadata/catalog and MDM tools (e.g., Informatica, Profisee, or similar) and collaborating closely with technical teams (hands-on configuration experience is a plus, not required) - Excellent written and verbal communication; strong facilitation skills; disciplined program execution in a fast-paced, client-service environment - Ability to prioritize work, manage risk, and escalate issues appropriately in a fast-paced, client service environment.
