Role Description We are seeking a Tax Manager in India to support our global tax function, with primary responsibility for preparing US corporate income tax returns, extensions, and estimates and assisting with non-US indirect tax compliance. This role will play a key part in strengthening internal tax processes. Key Responsibilities - Prepare US federal and state corporate income tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated tax payments using a US corporate income tax return software. - Prepare and maintain supporting tax workpapers, reconciliations, and documentation. - Coordinate closely with US-based tax leadership on technical questions, review comments, and filing timelines. - Support year-end and audit-related tax compliance requests as needed. - Assist with non-US indirect tax (VAT/GST) compliance using global indirect tax compliance software. - Support data collection, review, and validation for multiple countries. - Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings under US-based tax leadership guidance. - Execute tax compliance work with a high degree of ownership and accountability. - Follow standardized processes while identifying opportunities for efficiency and process improvement. - Partner effectively with US and India team members in a remote, cross-border environment. - Contribute to knowledge transfer and documentation to support scalability of the tax function. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax; CA or equivalent preferred. - 6–10+ years of tax experience, with hands-on experience to US corporate income tax compliance. - Practical experience preparing US corporate income tax returns, extensions, and estimates. - Experience working with US direct tax compliance software (e.g. OneSource); Global indirect tax platform experience a plus. - Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage compliance deadlines and clearly communicate technical issues timely. - Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills. - Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with US-based stakeholders. Requirements - Preferred experience supporting non-US VAT/GST filings or global indirect tax processes. - Prior experience in a multinational or shared-services/offshore tax model. - Exposure to process transitions from external advisors to in-house teams.
