What role you will play in our team The Reservoir Analytics role will leverage advanced data science techniques and Reservoir Engineering experience to analyze, model and optimize the Midland Basin development program. This role will work closely with the integrated development team (Reservoir, Geoscience, Analysts, Leadership) to enhance development decision quality and efficiency through data-driven insights and workflows. What role you will play in our team The HPC Systems Engineer role has the overall responsibility to work within a small team of highly skilled HPC specialists to provide a performant, reliable, and secure high-performance computing (HPC) environment. Job Summary The Emerging Contaminants Advisor provides strategic technical leadership, subject‑matter expertise, and guidance on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other emerging contaminants across the organization. This role supports development and stewardship of PFAS Issue Management Team strategy, goals and activities including but not limited to program and project risk assessments, technology evaluations, and technical advocacy opportunities. The advisor serves as a technical advisor on remediation projects, regulations, remediation options, and industry best practices while enabling the company to anticipate and mitigate environmental and operational risks. Key Deliverables of Position - Technical Leadership & External Interface - Serve as a senior advisor on emerging contaminants for Business Units, Operational Assets, and Issue Management Teams (IMTs), providing direction on the most complex or high‑impact issues. - Advise and influence Senior Management, providing authoritative assessments of technical, regulatory, and business risks. - Provide training, technical presentations, and stakeholder education on PFAS issues and regulatory trends. - Participate in research collaborations and technical forums to stay current on best practices. - Foster relationships with consultants and technology developers. - Risk Assessment & Management - Lead identification and assessment of PFAS-associated risks across sites, operations, supply chains, materials, and products. - Provide expert input to risk evaluations, environmental impact assessments, liability forecasting, and corporate sustainability reporting. - Recommend mitigation measures and long-term management strategies. - Project Development and Management - Develop and follow best practices to ensure site-specific risks are assessed, actions prioritized and risk management plans developed - Support site investigation and remediation strategies in collaboration with consultants, labs, and internal teams. - Guide project teams in the selection and evaluation of technologies and support the research and development of new technologies - Guide environmental monitoring programs including sampling plans, laboratory methods, QA/QC, and data review. What role you will play in our team As a Surface Commercial & Land Advisor working at ExxonMobil, you will be a part of world class teams and gain hands-on experience and skills working on projects that create an impact. You will identify and consult with surface owners concerning placement of drill site locations, ingress, egress, roads, pits, ROW’s, water purchase agreements, and settlement of various damages associated therewith. What you will do - Negotiate and draft Surface and Subsurface Use Agreements/ROW/TB Agreements, Water Purchase and Transport Agreements, letter agreements, etc. - Contact surface owners in advance of company activities to establish appropriate rapport and make any needed arrangements for such activity. - Coordinate survey schedule and accompany survey and construction team to the field to ensure multi-well pads are staked properly. - Point of contact for Midland Basin surface owners; requiring knowledge relating to all facets of oil and gas development and familiarity of agricultural, ranching, farming, and other rural related industries and occupations. - Mitigate complaints and issues on existing asset base; provide Land support for road repair on existing asset base. - Provide technical and strategic advice on complex land negotiations. - Ensure company drill schedule expectations are met with all company disciplines. - Visit oil and saltwater spills and coordinate cleanup efforts with Landowners; work with contractors to document all reportable spills. - Daily interface with Environmental team on progress of remediation efforts and ongoing Landowner requirements. - Promote, practice, comply, and adhere to all company safety guidelines and requirements and require compliance of company safety guidelines and requirements by vendors and contractors. About you Skills and Qualifications - ExxonMobil is seeking applicants with Upstream oil and gas knowledge and 3+ years of surface land experience with a Bachelors degree. - Applicants must have excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to deliver results in a performance-driven and team-oriented environment. - Minimum of 1 year experience in drilling location construction, water/ROW acquisition, surface owner negotiation/settlement, or other material oilfield experience. - Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Employee will be required to drive a Company vehicle approximately 40% of their job, over various conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off-road situations including two-track roads.
