Role Description As the VP, Hospital Operations (Nursing), you will hold a vital role responsible for leading and elevating the clinical excellence of our inpatient rehabilitation hospital, ensuring we deliver the highest-quality care to our patients recovering from various conditions. You will be a strategic partner to the CEO, providing clinical expertise and leadership across all aspects of patient care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - DeNovo Operations: Directs the clinical and operational lifecycle of DeNovo rehabilitation hospital developments, driving strategic planning, regulatory compliance, nursing leadership acquisition, and successful facility launches. - Supervising and mentoring nursing leadership: Assigning tasks, providing ongoing feedback and development opportunities, and ensuring adherence to CMS, Federal, State, and hospital policies and procedures. - Ensuring quality and safety: Monitoring patient outcomes, identifying and addressing potential risks, and contributing to the continuous improvement of quality care practices. - Promoting patient-centered care: Fostering a positive and respectful environment for patients and their families, ensuring effective communication, and advocating for patient needs. - Managing hospital operations: Training, educating, and ensuring compliance with standards pertaining to schedules, budgets, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient patient care flow. - Clinical Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the clinical team, including therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. - Quality & Outcomes: Develop and implement strategies to continuously improve clinical quality and patient outcomes and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and accreditation requirements. - Program Development and Innovation: Lead the development and implementation of new and innovative rehabilitation programs to meet the evolving needs of our patient population. - Physician Relations: Build strong and collaborative relationships with medical staff leadership, ensuring they understand our capabilities and value proposition. - Clinical Education: Foster an environment of education, promote evidence-based practices, and stay current with the latest advancements in rehabilitation medicine. - Metrics and Analytics: Develop and implement systems to measure clinical performance, track outcomes, and utilize data to drive quality improvement initiatives. - Human Resources Leadership: Guide human resources strategies for the clinical team, focusing on recruitment, retention, and professional development of top talent. Qualifications - Current, unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in the state where currently practicing (RN). - Current BLS is required via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. - Current ACLS required via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred, but required in AZ. - Current Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN®) preferred. - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. - Master’s degree in Nursing or healthcare-related field. - 5-7 years of medical-surgical nursing experience required. - Previous hospital leadership experience is required. - Proven track record of leading and improving clinical quality, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. - Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in rehabilitation medicine. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. - Passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to rehabilitation services. Focused on caring for patients with complex rehabilitative needs such as: - Stroke - Spinal cord injury - Brain injury - Head trauma - Medically debilitation conditions - Neurological disorders - Cardio-pulmonary amputations - Orthopedic injuries - Multiple major traumas The PAS Intake Coordinator is an entry-level role focused on efficiently and accurately completing the Pre-Admission Screening (PAS) tool. This role is designed to accelerate the admission workflow by handling the clerical assembly of patient files. The Coordinator will gather data from hospital systems and field staff to ensure all administrative fields in the PAS are finalized, enabling the clinical team to provide final approval more quickly. This position is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills, those with teaching backgrounds, or individuals with administrative certifications. Qualifications - Education: High School Diploma or GED (Minimum Requirement) - Preferred Backgrounds: Teaching Certifications are highly desirable due to the transferable skills in documentation, organization, and information synthesis - Certifications: Medical Billing or Coding certificates are a significant plus - Experience: Prior experience in healthcare is not required; we will train candidates who demonstrate close attention to detail and strong computer literacy - Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) - Training or experience with Microsoft Copilot (or comparable Generative AI software) is a plus - Ability to learn and navigate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software quickly Requirements - Location Restraints: Candidates must reside within a United States time zone - Multi-Regional Support: The team supports hospitals across Arizona, Central, and Eastern time zones.
