Role Description EngineRoom.io’s HPC Engineering's team is responsible for servers, storage and networking across our MSP and NOC facilities. We’re looking for “Mechanic”s to help support and maintain our Production infrastructure. We deliver BigData, AI, ML and Deep Learning Managed services to a diverse array of industries and clients in Australia. We manage and own our own Private HPC Cloud in 3 discrete DC locations. We are also an industry pioneer with the first Pan Asian Liquid Immersion Colocation facility located at a Tier IV facility located in Sydney Australia. YOUR ROLE: You are a Cloud / HPC version of a Navy Seal. Nothing troubles you, as you have a depth of experience from being in the trenches for at least 5 - 10 years in both Research &/or Corporate HPC environments. You will have significant platform development experience from Hybrid / bespoke Private HPC clouds, to potentially onsite HPC Administration experience in a recognized Research center. Qualifications - Minimum Bachelor-level degree in engineering, information technology, data communications, telecommunications, computer science, or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications. - Certification/s in cloud technologies mandatory. - Azure / AWS / GCP: Certification, Cloud Developer or Cloud Engineer certifications also preferred. - NV1, NV2 Security Clearance Desirable. Security clearance sponsorship available for suitable applicants. Role Description We are seeking Data Mechanic's who will further develop computational tools and lead complex analyses using cutting edge technology, approaches, and visualisation tools. As a Senior Data Mechanic, you are a key driver of our platform development strategy and direction in establishing data insight platforms that generate significant customer value. You will work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, customers, and partners to shape the search and data analysis capabilities of our platforms and influence how we bring these capabilities to market. HPC GPU Pipeline Mechanic

Role Description We’re looking for a HPC GPU Pipeline Mechanic with familiarity in writing and maintaining optimised software for a variety of platforms, to help customers bring their GPU workloads to our HPC infrastructure. As a HPC GPU Pipeline Mechanic you’ll be part of a team of technical experts responsible for ensuring that customers can use our compute infrastructure as productively as possible. - Ongoing maintenance of scientific applications on EngineRoom.io's Private Cloud HPC environment - Inspection and maintenance of software written by other members of the team - Achieving a basic understanding of our customers' scientific domains - Acting as 3rd-level technical support for otherwise-unresolvable customer issues - Providing and receiving regular, constructive feedback to and from your peers - Collaborating on priority and scheduling for rapid project delivery Qualifications - Strong C/C++ skills, along with at least one GPU-targeted toolchain (ideally CUDA) - Experience using GP/GPUs for numerical processing in a commercial or academic setting - Understanding of Kubernetes, Clusters, and K8 Administration - Excellent written and spoken business and technical English, suitable for working directly with clients - Impeccable professional references Requirements - Significant expertise as a Linux user/administrator - Experience optimising for both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs, Graphcore, and Intel IPUs and x86 CPUs - A background or interest in some branch of science - Sufficient maths to be able to implement algorithms described in scientific papers Benefits - Choice of technical or organizational leadership career growth - State-of-the-art technology environment - Innovation, proof-of-concept, and first-article rapid prototype focus - Small-team workplace flexibility and work-life balance - Start-up and innovation culture
