Role Description The Contract Recruiter will lead full-cycle recruiting for EducationSuperHighway's first major hiring push across six to eight roles spanning partnerships, marketing, program operations, and organizational support. This is a high-volume, fast-moving engagement for a recruiter who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple searches simultaneously, and closing strong candidates quickly. This is a six-month contract with potential to extend based on organizational need. Key Responsibilities - Manage full-cycle recruiting for multiple open roles simultaneously, from job posting through offer acceptance. - Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, networks, and referrals, with a strong bias toward active outreach over inbound-only pipelines. - Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and manage candidate communications throughout the process, ensuring a timely and positive candidate experience. - Conduct reference checks and coordinate background screenings on final candidates. - Draft and extend offers in coordination with leadership. - Support job description development for roles that are not yet fully defined. - Partner closely with ESH leadership to understand role requirements, priorities, and ideal candidate profiles. - Provide regular updates and reports on pipeline status, interview feedback, and search progress for each open role. - Advise on compensation benchmarking and sourcing strategy as needed. - Coordinate with ESH leadership on offer logistics and onboarding handoff. - Build and maintain a referral pipeline by working ESH's leadership network and encouraging warm introductions. - Manage candidate pipelines, interview notes, and search status in Ashby, ESH's ATS, keeping all records accurate and up to date. - Produce a regular pipeline report for leadership covering open requisitions, candidate status, and projected time-to-fill. - Advise leadership on Ashby configuration and workflow setup as needed to support ESH's first major hiring push. Qualifications - 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant time working as an independent contractor or agency recruiter managing multiple searches. - Demonstrated ability to manage six or more concurrent searches without losing momentum. - Strong sourcing skills, including active outreach via LinkedIn Recruiter and other channels. - Experience setting up or administering an ATS (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar). - Excellent communication and relationship management skills with both candidates and hiring managers. - Comfort working in a startup or early-stage environment where priorities can shift quickly. Requirements - Experience recruiting for nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organizations. - Familiarity with partnership, business development, or sales recruiting. - Experience using recruiter networks, or similar platforms for contract engagements. - Track record of closing candidates for roles that require mission alignment, not just compensation. Role Description EducationSuperHighway, the national non-profit that connected 99.7% of American students to high-speed internet and 5 million low-income households to affordable broadband, is now launching its 3.0 mission to end the reading crisis in America’s K-12 schools. We are looking for a mission-driven, entrepreneurial leader to help build and execute our employer partnerships strategy and lay the foundation for long-term growth. This is EducationSuperHighway's first corporate partnerships hire. You will pioneer a playbook from scratch, on two parallel tracks: direct employer outreach and payroll processor platform partnerships. For the next six months, you will operate as a highly independent leader: - Developing the pitch - Building the pipeline - Managing senior external relationships - Helping define what this function should become over time As the work grows, you will help build and lead a small team. What You Will Do - Track 1: Direct Employer Partnerships - Develop and execute an outbound prospecting strategy targeting employers across sectors, with strong CSR/ESG commitments and employee bases that create meaningful donation capacity - Own the full sales cycle from cold outreach through signed partnership agreement — pitch development, multi-stakeholder navigation, and close - Sell to executive leadership across HR, benefits, and CSR/ESG functions, positioning the EFTC as a transformational employee benefit and corporate impact opportunity - Track a pipeline of employer prospects with rigorous CRM discipline, reporting weekly against partnership goals - Track 2: Payroll & HR Platform Business Development - Identify and pursue partnerships with payroll, HR and related platform companies to integrate EFTC donation functionality into employee portals - Build relationships with platform BD, product, and partnership teams to position EducationSuperHighway as a preferred SGO and giving infrastructure partner - Explore co-marketing and partnership structures that support long-term platform engagement and promotion - Treat this track as equal in priority to direct employer outreach - Playbook & Team Building - Document a repeatable sales process, pitch library, objection handling, and partner onboarding workflow that a growing team can execute at scale - Build and lead a team in preparation for the 2027 EFTC launch - Collaborate closely with the Employer Success Manager to ensure smooth handoffs and a high-quality partner experience Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in B2B partnership, enterprise BD, or platform partnerships with a track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals - Proven hunter who has built pipeline from scratch and closed deals in a first-mover, startup, or ambiguous environment - Experience selling to HR, People, Benefits, or CSR leaders at enterprise and/or mid-market employers - Exceptional executive presence.
