Role Description As an integral part of the Direct Travel North America Leisure Sales Management Team, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth, while supporting Direct Travel Leisure, the team, and our preferred partner objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing team and Virtuoso to strengthen brand visibility and engagement across your teams. This position works in partnership with fellow Leisure Sales Managers and reports directly to the Director of Leisure Sales. Expedition Expectations - Managing, mentoring and coaching staff advisors, branch supervisors and branch managers within the team to ensure that all quality and service standards are met. - Responsible for ensuring that standard operating processes and procedures are adhered to, including GDS script usage, CB+ ResCard and invoicing standards, and CB+ Marketing coding standards. - Work with Direct Travel’s Marketing team to optimize lead generation programs to grow business within each team and to effectively market travel opportunities to new and current clients. - Assist in coordination of scheduling for regional offices with backup procedure if necessary. - Ensure employees are compliant with all company policies and processes. - Ensure customer service standards per Direct Travel’s policy manual. - Work directly with Advisors on any error issues to resolve while keeping the management team informed. - Provide ongoing training support to regional advisors and teams with a particular focus on sales growth and strategic partnerships. - Participate in all Management meetings, Virtuoso events when required. - Escalate issues to the next level of management as necessary. - Maintain and promote professional and courteous client relations by managing a prompt and accurate response to telephone and email communications. - Organize and participate in local/regional events to promote travel, drive leads, and close sales. - Collaborate with Operations to optimize processes and efficiencies with a focus on travel advisors. Role Description We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and detail-oriented Strategic Sales Manager to lead, support, and optimize Altitude by Direct Travel, our host services division. Role Description The Leisure Operations Support role provides customer service and full administrative support for all operational processes involved in selling travel for our leisure advisors. Expedition Expectations - Oversee and drive evolution of Direct Impact – Direct Travel’s ESG program via subject matter experts across the organization and its affiliates. - Measure and quantify data points and ensure accurate and timely reporting on all ESG initiatives utilizing multiple data resources within Direct Travel (predominantly Scope 3 GHG data). - Provide second level support of client carbon data queries and insights if and when applicable. - Create, manage, and report on committees and project team activities. - Manage contract staff and 3rd party suppliers, maximizing available resources. - Complete annual reporting directives and certification assessments as required (Ecovadis, CDP, CSRD, TCFD, SBTi). - Initiate supplier sustainability assessments and engagement. - Develop industry partnerships and engagement (like GBTA, BTN committees) as available. - Serve as subject matter expert for sales and marketing initiatives (RFP answers, Direct Impact Annual Report, client presentations, UN Global Compact, regular internal and external updates, etc). - Drive governance and practices around social sustainability, wellbeing, and DEI in collaboration with HR. - When applicable, work with the Halo Product Director to maximize client value and upsell opportunities, as well as to support new business development. Passport to Success - 5+ years of experience in positions relevant to ESG (professional qualifications are a plus). - Working experience in the corporate travel/hospitality sector is a strong plus. - Strong analytical skills in carbon accounting/analysis. - Able to balance strategy with execution. - Comfortable managing relationships with all level associates in the organization. - Excellent communication skills – verbal and written (experience with public speaking is a plus). - Position is remote, with office-based work optional depending on location. - Self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess excellent project management skills. - Working knowledge of MS products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and carbon accounting platforms. - Degree in Environmental Science, Business Sustainability, or Sustainable Tourism Management is ideal. - This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or efforts associated with the position. Role Description As a key member of the Operations Team, the Senior Corporate Travel Advisor will be responsible for the successful completion of comprehensive, accurate, cost-effective travel arrangements for Direct Travel clients within company policies utilizing corporate contracts and preferred suppliers in an efficient and professional manner. - Completes domestic and international travel arrangements for clients which may include air, hotel, ground transportation, rail, and limos. - Supports multiple accounts. - Operates within detailed procedures. - Interacts with traveler or travel arranger and provides 1st level of support for customer service and technical issues. - Ensures compliance of a client’s travel policy while utilizing DT preferred vendors to maximize profit. - Adheres to DT standards in delivering customer service including telephone and email etiquette, and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedure. - Follows company standards regarding procedures, utilization of tools, productivity, accuracy of work, and attendance. - Attends staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in travel industry and office procedures which may require you to work in the office if home-based. - Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working environment. Requirements - Minimum 5+ years’ experience providing domestic and international travel arrangements. - High proficiency using Airline Duo GDS (Apollo/Sabre or Amadeus). - Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of airline ticketing rules and regulations. - Proficient in producing lowest logical airfare within client’s policy. - Understands international airfares and international ticketing. - Proficient in Internet searches and online booking processes. - Thorough working knowledge of exchanging, reissue of tickets. - Must be able to thoroughly read, understand and follow client travel policies and guidelines. - Thorough understanding of reading each company's information and following guidelines of their policy. - Previous experience handling Corporate / VIP clientele. - Excellent communication skills via email and phone. - Superior customer service skills. - Ability to meet and exceed required performance standards. - Accurate and detail-oriented. - Work well under pressure and have the ability to deal with change and adversity. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. - Works well independently as well within a group.
