Role Description Cyclotron's AI Engineering team is hiring an AI Architect to help design and deliver production AI systems for our enterprise clients. This is a hands-on, client-facing architect role. You will own the architecture on your engagements, contribute to delivery leadership, and grow into the full executive conversation alongside senior architects. Our practice is anchored in the Microsoft stack and actively extending across the OpenAI and Anthropic platforms, so we expect you to be fluent across all three and pragmatic about which one is right for a given problem. More than the usual architect role, we are looking for someone visibly, obviously engaged with this space: - You have been building real agentic solutions. - You ship with AI coding tools. - You have informed opinions on how to architect agentic solutions. You will work directly with senior architects on real engagements, with explicit room to grow the consulting craft (scoping, executive communication, escalation) alongside the technical depth. We invest in your certifications and time for hands-on exploration of new tools and patterns. Responsibilities - Own the architecture on AI engagements: discovery, design, delivery oversight, and knowledge transfer. - Serve as a credible technical voice with client stakeholders, including directors, managers, and senior engineers. - Run workshops and design reviews with calm and clarity. - Architect agentic systems, RAG pipelines, and AI-augmented workflows across the Microsoft, OpenAI, and Anthropic ecosystems. - Contribute to the reference architectures, skills, prompts, and MCP servers the team reuses across clients. - Help build out our growing OpenAI and Anthropic practices alongside our Microsoft work through enablement content, reference implementations, and demos. - Pair with senior architects and engineers on the hard parts. - Translate between business goals and engineering reality. - Contribute to internal IP: opinionated docs, short demo videos, and enablement sessions that upskill the rest of the team on what is actually working. Qualifications - 4+ years of enterprise software, data, or AI architecture experience, including at least 1 year architecting or shipping generative AI or agentic systems. - Demonstrated ownership of meaningful technical work as a technical lead, senior engineer, or architect on at least one multi-stakeholder initiative. - Strong stakeholder communication, written and verbal, to technical and management audiences. - Hands-on proficiency with the Azure AI stack. - Hands-on proficiency with the OpenAI platform. - Hands-on proficiency with the Anthropic platform. - Microsoft Certified, Azure AI Engineer Associate (or willingness to earn within 90 days of hire). - Strong software engineering fundamentals. - Able to work remotely within the United States with reliable overlap for Eastern and Central business hours. - AI-forward bar: a clear, visible history of digging into this space and building real things. Requirements - A visible track record of building agentic solutions. - AI coding tools are a core part of your work. - You have built agentic systems with real tool use. - Informed, curious perspective on the current state of agent orchestration. - Genuine passion and engagement with the work. Additional Knowledge & Skills - Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and Copilot Studio at enterprise scale. - Experience with eval frameworks or well-designed in-house approaches. - Responsible AI and governance experience in regulated industries. - Depth in one or more of: RAG, fine-tuning, vector search tuning, multi-modal systems. - Consulting or professional-services experience, or prior work in a partner/ISV ecosystem. • Design, implement, and manage Azure solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, including VMs, App Services and Networking. • Deploy and configure key Azure infrastructure services, including Azure Landing Zones, Azure Virtual Desktop, Defender for Cloud and other enterprise platforms. • Architect and deploy secure network solutions on Azure, including VNETs, VPNs, and ExpressRoute. • Implement and manage Azure storage solutions, including Blob, Queue, and Table Storage. • Develop and deploy applications using Azure App Services and integrate with other Azure services. • Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates or Terraform. • Ensure security best practices are implemented across all Azure services using Azure Security Center and other tools. • Implement and manage containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). • Stay abreast of the latest Azure services and technologies, ensuring our solutions leverage the latest capabilities.

• Own product areas from broad business goals through discovery, design, implementation, testing, and iteration. • Translate ambiguous objectives into clear user workflows, product requirements, technical plans, and implementation steps. • Question unclear requirements, identify missing pieces, surface risks and edge cases, and propose better product or technical approaches when appropriate. • Design and build polished, intuitive SaaS workflows, including dashboards, tables, filters, forms, detail views, configuration experiences, empty states, loading states, and error states. • Make thoughtful architecture decisions across data models, APIs, frontend architecture, backend architecture, permissions, integrations, state management, scalability, security, and maintainability. • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, debugging, test creation, documentation, and architectural exploration. • Critically review, validate, debug, and test AI-generated code to ensure production-quality implementation. • Communicate clearly and proactively about requirements, architecture, tradeoffs, implementation status, open questions, risks, and blockers. • Drive work forward independently while collaborating effectively with product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders.

• Work directly with customer teams to drive discovery, design, configuration, validation, piloting, deployment and support of Microsoft cloud and on-premises security capabilities. • Work across Cyclotron business units to provide a holistic approach that combines your areas of expertise in identity & device management with threat protection, compliance, and more. • Contribute to the development of new Identity and Device Management services offered by Cyclotron. • Engage with other Cyclotron and customer teams to get and share information to improve processes and security posture.

• Work with clients to understand needs and design a comprehensive Microsoft Purview solution. • Leverage knowledge of Azure core infrastructure for secure integration of Purview. • Develop policies and controls for data classification, retention, and protection. • Collaborate with C-suite, data governance, and compliance teams for alignment. • Monitor data access and usage compliance using Purview's governance tools. • Provide leadership and technical guidance on best practices for Azure and Microsoft Purview. • Stay updated with developments in Microsoft Azure and 365 compliance features.

• Drive sales wins through presales methodology and technical credibility • Lead enterprise discovery sessions for true business drivers • Architect scalable solutions across the Microsoft cloud ecosystem • Produce high-quality SOWs and design delivery approaches • Communicate effectively with executive audiences • Support sales and leadership through clean handoffs and deal orchestration

• Own the responsibility of driving sales wins using a strong presales methodology to design enterprise deployments of Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance tools customized to the client environment • Represent Cyclotron to potential clients to design and deploy industry-leading solutions to improve the protection of Microsoft-based assets within their on-premise and cloud environments • Lead clients through designs and security methodology of how to use Microsoft tools in a wide variety of approaches to improve security posture across Microsoft ecosystems including Azure, Microsoft 365, and reliant systems • Work directly with potential client teams to design projects, creating Budgetary Estimates and Statements of Work that represent discovery, design, configuration, validation, piloting, deployment and support of Microsoft cloud and on-premise security capabilities • Work across Cyclotron business units to provide a holistic presales approach that combines security concepts in cross-practice engagements • Contribute to the practice development of our external presentation & marketing approach • Contribute to the presales process with technical expertise to gain customer confidence and determine the best path for customer implementation of Microsoft 365 security capabilities • Engage with other Cyclotron and customer teams to get and share information to improve processes and security posture

• Architecting, designing, and executing enterprise deployments of Microsoft 365 Identity and Device Management tools • Working directly with customer teams to drive discovery, design, configuration, validation, piloting, deployment and support of Microsoft cloud and on-premises security capabilities • Providing a holistic approach that combines areas of expertise in identity & device management with threat protection, compliance, and more • Contributing to the development of new Identity and Device Management services offered by Cyclotron • Engaging with other Cyclotron and customer teams to improve processes and security posture
